How does the USA leaving the Iran Nuclear deal make us safer and make it harder for Iran to develop nuclear weapons? As I need three sentences to make a post I will now just re-ask the same question with a different sentence structure. What does America gain by leaving the Iran Nuclear deal and how does our withdraw from the deal make it harder for Iran to develop nuclear weapons?
First of all, he isn't leaving the deal, he is required to certify it every 90 days which means he is admitting its working. Once its certified it prevents re-imposing sanctions on Iran. Trump doesn't want to re-certify it leaving the option open for congress to impose sanctions if they feel it needs to be done. Basically once Trump does not certify the deal it goes to congress who has 60 days to impose sanctions or not. So in essence Trump is letting congress make the call as to whether we should stick with the plan or take our own route with severe sanctions, this appears to be a common theme with Trump.
Hopefully it inevitably leads to the U.S. taking large scale military action against the Iranians. Something that President Bush should've done in 2007 or 2008.
