Ugly guy, great music. Not a band for everyone, but Lemmy was unique and so was Motorhead. The band influenced a lot of other rock and roll bands. http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/12/r-i-p-lemmy-kilmister-motorhead-frontman-dead-at-70/
+1 He also wrote for others; Ozzy Osbourne's "Momma I'm Comin' Home" was written by Lemmy. "Ace of Spades" was one of the first songs my garage band learned to play, back in the day. He's a legend and will truly be missed.
Damn, Lemmy died? that sucks. He was an icon. Now he is off to the great stage in the sky rocking out with Dimebag Darrel, Randy Rhodes, and all the other rock and metal legends that have left us.
I read that he found out about the cancer 2 days before he died. Sad thing I also saw the documentary "Lemmy" and he seemed like a really great guy. There are many legends in music coming out to pay respect to Lemmy the man, and the Lemmy the musician. I think that kind of says it all
As a lifelong metal fan this is indeed sad news. Never the biggest fan of Motorhead but their influence is undeniable. Saw him live once about 12 years ago, he put on a good show. RIP
