Well I don't know about NY-Times bestseller or anything, but you just know that the same crowd who thinks you can "feel" your way past hard coded biology will eat this stuff up. Theres a bunch of Biology is just a social construct mentalities out there unfortunately, and they'll eat this garbage up IMO.

 

Amazing that this story is newsworthy enough to be featured on MSN.com's homepage, yet it's not newsworthy enough to be in the Current Events section of the site

There is plenty of medical evidence that the genitals develop separately from the brain's sense of gender. This is not in question. Whenever two things need to align like that, there will be outliers. Every single "normal" thing has outliers.

Race is not something that develops in the brain. We have to be taught that the person over there is "different" from us.

These are completely different things, so quit pretending they are identical situations. Rachel may well like the black culture better than her own. That's fine - no issues. She can pretend to be black all she wants; no issues. Employers should be free to not employ her for simply pretending to be something she isn't. Does she not know that you can support groups of people without truly being "one of them?"

 

I think her argument is that since race is a social construct, she can socially construct a new racial identity, and it's legitimate.

 

...and she embarrassed them pretty badly. I mean think of it; not only did she fool black people that she was black, she rose to the head of the organization. If you were in the NAACP and were running against Dolezal, she wins, and then you find out she was white...
