Not to me. They are all forms of bad behavior and should all be punished equally. There is no difference between a Black people fighting in restaurants and White people acting like hooligans. Actually, the sports riots I showed you involved DESTRUCTION of property.

Not to mention this story about a man who put his 17 month old son in a hot oven to "teach him a lesson". He only got a year in prison for that. White male, age 21.

Most of African America is in a political coalition with the Teacher's Union which warehouses and processes their children like poultry. Those kids have no future. How smart are their parents?

 

First, a large percentage of the black families are fatherless families.

Next, a large proportion of these families are on welfare.

The relatively few mother who work are a) too tired to tutor their children. And, 2) more than likely are too ignorant to do that.

Your assessment that the black youngsters have a bleak future is very accurate ......unless their parents learn the concept of responsibility ..... or, at the very least instill that concept in their children who in the present generations turn out children their own children destined to be thugs both male & female destroying our educational system.......perpetuating a discouraging Catch- 22.

 

There was a time when the Black Family was cohesive and strong. Those days are long gone. The only hope for many Black people is the redistribution of income from other groups. In an era when the economic pie isn't growing that's a recipe for civil war.

I'm Black and I never segregated myself. I didn't think like most people. My high school was about 80 percent White and 20 percent Black. The Whites sat with other White kids and the Blacks sat with other Black kids. I was kind of a drifter. I was considered "not Black enough" by some Black kids because I was nerdy, read alot of books, and was considered "the smart kid". I sat with whoever would accept me as a person.

 

Superbad, no offense, but I think you hear a lot more racism than what is actually said.

 

Why? I find this kind of thread hateful and the only cause for it is spite, lies, and hate to spread. The longer it keeps going the uglier it gets. Why would I or anyone that respects themselves counter these attacks?

It's interesting, what you say above; very interesting, because I experienced almost the exact same thing.

I assimilated comfortably (for the most part) WITH other Americans who were "White", and learned to make virtually ALL aspects of their culture, my own. I am BLESSED to have loved and been loved by many "White" people. I'm certainly NOT ashamed of my heritage of slavery and/or the American struggle born of the same. Black people sometimes misunderstood me and my motives... but I eventually learned to communicate that the love within my heart for ALL, was a good thing FOR ALL. I've influenced MANY over my lifetime... in such a way as to invite them to COME TOGETHER (despite our troublesome differences as human beings).

Lord knows, I'm INFURIATED by hateful, stupid, racist-talking/acting people of any ethnic or religious group. The greatest challenge is to NOT despise those idiotic individuals, many of whom are represented here in this forum (within the comments of those who are obviously un-accepting of any who are different than themselves.

Even so, compassion, grace, forgiveness and togetherness are best to promote; those things will NOT hurt this nation... and infinitely more constructive and positive possibilities will come of those human qualities. Putting the hatred and racism aside... WILL take America further forward in minimal time, than the stupidity and backwardness of hatred, racism and hyper-vicious competitiveness.

 

I doubt if pretending to be dense is a viable strategy.

 

So that is why you don't pretend?
