As if you don't post trash, give me a break.

“As the only African American woman in this [Trump's] White House, as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people,” --- Omarosa Manigault

Find me a black person on Biden's staff that is willing to resign and make that statement about Biden.

You can't, there are none. Blacks overwhelmingly voted for Biden .

Although we already know Biden is a racist for many things he has said and done in the past, I don't consider this to be one of his racist acts. Its actually one of the more logical things he's done since being in office. I know its tempting to rub this in lefties' faces as "racism" because of how they freaked out over Trumps travel bans, but lets be the better people here. When it comes to preventing viruses in our country, all racist stuff needs to be thrown out the windows. Also, viruses don't have a race. Let's not be petty like the left is. We are about FACTS and PROGRESS, not FEELINGS

Name one democratic president that ever asked a republican president for his birth certificate?

Funny thing, the only one in history was by Trump for Obama. Now Trump didn't cry 'racist motives' but racists never do that.

Funny thing, he doubted that Obama was smart enough to get into Harvard, and asked for his transcripts.

Well, another Funny thing, when dems requested Trump's transcripts, he adamantly rejected that request.

Racism is as racism does, not as it necessary speaks, but that too.
"Anybody" is a weasel word, and, as such, does not merit a response in a proper debate forum (though I'm not certain we are in one). Be specific, noting that I don't' agree with anyone who would do that. But, your point suggests that is the mainstay of your average liberal, and for that claim, if that is your claim, (hard to say with weasel words) you'll have to substantiate it (and make sure your substantiation is not an article written at gatewaypundit or unreliable source that also uses weasel words, like 'anybody' most people' ' it's what I heard' etc. )
Bitherism isn't a clerical mistake, it's a concerted effort. Jeezus ****, you can't grasp such distinctions?
Let me see if I got this right, you are saying that the only time in history a presidential candidate was ever asked for his birth certificate was for a black man, that this isn't racist?

Oh, I dunno, why don't you survey black people, see how they feel about it?

But why raise the birth cert issue? Even if Obama were born in Kenya, because his mother was born in America, that gives him naturalized American citizenship, which is the case for McCain, born in Panama, and Cruz, born in Canada, and no one questioned their citizenship.

But, when a black man comes along now it's an issue?
To pretend Trump is as racist as your 'average old white guy' is folly, and to ignore Trump's very long racist rap sheet, the kind of which no average white guy's history comes anywhere near.
I drove a cab in L.A. in the 70s. I had a flat tire at 70th and main, in a yellow cab. it took a half hour before the yellow cab tow truck guy to bring me a new tire. During our training week, we were shown on a map where the high crime areas were, that when we were in such areas, to be extra careful.

Was I scared? yes. Does that make me a racist? No, it was factually a high crime area, race had nothing to do with it. Would I have been afraid if that had happened to me in Beverly Hills? No, how about Baldwin Hills ( the black 'beverly hills' ) no.. I drove an ice cream truck in Baldwin Hills in the 70s, and I lived there when i was 4 years old.

Most old farts, myself included, have uttered a gaff or two or maybe three that could be interpreted as racist by the younger, more hip, generation, especially the woke media. We grew up in an era where the term' negro' was considered polite.

But that doesn't compare to Trump's racist rap sheet, which is so long it exceeds the PF 16,000 character limit.

I mean, in 1973 The US Department of Justice — under the Nixon administration, out of all administrations — sued the Trump Management Corporation for violating the Fair Housing Act. Federal officials found evidence that Trump had refused to rent to Black tenants and lied to Black applicants about whether apartments were available, among other accusations.

If he were an average old fart from the era that used the term 'negro' to be polite, which it was, once upon a time, you'd have a point.
But, as I reveal in this post, he most certainly is not.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...vel-from-africa.594609/page-7#post-1073097758
Ahh, but if Trump had run as a D, and he could have given that he used to be a D, they still wouldn't have voted for him, given his racist rap sheet.

“As the only African American woman in this [Trump's] White House, as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people,” --- Omarosa Manigault

Policy positions usually have a good intent, racial components are often not see until after time. That doesn't make someone a racist. But, if you "I"m banning ALL Muslims', which Trump did say, one could construe you as a bigot by such a remark, regardless if your staff told you to tone it down.

They sound more like gaffs, the kind we old farts make forgetful of how language chances.

And no, given Trump's racist rap sheet, given the testimony of a few blacks were knew him up close, given that he was once sued for discrimination against blacks, no, I don't give Trump the same courtesy.

“Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day." ---Donald Trump

Is that a gaff, ? Sounds more like a racist sentiment, that blacks are more likely to steal than whites or jews.

But, if you are a black celebrity, he will coddle you, because Trump had a TV show catering to celebrities. Trump loves celebs.

How he really things about blacks is revealed in his treatment of every day blacks, not celebrities.

    1. Trump was a private citizen.
    2. Name one Republican president whose place of birth was called into question due to an erroneous publication by his literary agent.

    Welcome to politics.

    Welcome to politics.

I don't have a clue what that's supposed to mean.

I have been directly accused of racism for criticizing Obama's policies. And now for Harris, I am told I "just can't handle a woman of color with power."

Show me the proof of racism as you and Rev. Sharpton have claimed.

The party of the affirmative - that is you - carries the burden of providing evidence to substantiate your claim: IOW, It does not fall to me to disprove that racism was not the motive for the birthers, it falls to you to prove that it was. For this you'll need evidence. NB: your imagination does not constitute evidence.

Again, your fallacious claim - up to you to back it up.

You'll have to ask the birthers. Then, again, welcome to politics. I suppose it is a reasonable assumption that a person's literary agent would publish accurate information about that person and that the person, or a representative of the person, would read and approve a biographical summary prior to publication.

But no, it MUST be racism, right?

Again, you'll have to take it up with the birthers.

Was the citizenship status of their parents (as was Barack Obama, Sr.) in dispute? I'm asking because I don't know. As I already stated, the birther issue should have died with the release of the birth cert..

I don't know that there is an objective metric to determine degrees of racism, but it sounds like you're argiing that a little racism is OK (and conveniently that correlates precisely to the amount you'll concede applies to Biden), but more than a little (anything more than the amount you ascribe to Biden) is not OK, and therefore Biden's racism is OK, but Trump exceeds the allowed amount.

    OK.

Though I don't see the relevance of this charming anecdote, there are plenty of comnentators who will call you a racist for noting you would be scared to be in a predominantly-black area.

    OK.

    Fallacy, false equivalency.

Was referring to a racially-integrated public school as a 'racial jungle' as Biden did when he argued against school bussing also considered part of that politeness? Of all the words he could have used... he chose the word jungle?

You know, where the monkeys live.

You have no evidence to support this wholly speculative claim. I will allow you to retract without penalty.

    Speculation.

I'll agree. Please let Mr. Biden, Mdme. Pelosi, much of the MSM know they therefore owe Mr. Trump an apology for the characterization of his China travel ban.

Except we are not talking about the Muslim ban. We are talking about the China ban to fight COVID. But you know that.

Gaffe. A gaff is a stick with a hook on it, used in fishing. Biden's accusation against Trump's China ban was not a gaffe - it was an intentional attempt at character assassination, AKA "politics."

    Intellectual inconsistency noted.

    [quoteIs that a gaff, ? [/quote]
No, a gaff is a stick with a hook on it used in fishing.

    See: Racial jungle.

Speculation. Speaking of celebrities, don't you think it was racist that Biden hired the pretty white girl to sing the National Anthem at his inauguration? I mean with the THOUSANDS of talented black singers... in this new era of racial recomciliation, he picks the white girl...

    Speculation.

All the vaccines in use today came when Trump was in office. What has the Biden Administration done to its credit? I thought he was going to cure it.

There was a question, not a declarative statement.
For some folks, perhaps, like misinformed who believe CRT is being "taught" in K-12 public schools and teachers are telling white kids they should be ashamed of being white.

A lot of Trumpers are upset voters gave the Orange Oaf the boot. Many believed he was sending a "sending a message" blacks were going too far, too fast.

So is the answer to the question I asked yes or no? You asked me the same direct question and I answered it directly as you requested. Why will you not do the same in return?

Fine, I'll file that in the distinction without significance file. replace 'prez' with 'prez candidate'.
Red herring and irrelevant to the point.
Welcome to Trumpian politics, of whom Machiavelli himself no doubt would be piqued for it's darkness, but disappointed for it's lack of depth.
Well, it might have something to do with Trump's racist rap sheet that is so long the 16,000 character limit won't allow it, much of which is deeds and words.
    https://www.vox.com/2016/7/25/12270880/donald-trump-racist-racism-history
And I"ve been accused of communism for my statements. There are always a few dimly lit bulbs in any crowd. So?
Except that democrats being accused of "Venezuela" or Soviet style socialism is probably more common than you being accused of racism for criticizing Obama, because, well, are they doing that now that Biden is prez? But, the right continues, here and there, on accusing me and other democrats of being commies, venezuelan/soviet styled socialists, etc.
    https://www.vox.com/2016/7/25/12270880/donald-trump-racist-racism-history
Yeah, you guys always try so hard to lawyer the argument, and y'all are very good at.

But, it's kinda like In his concurring opinion in the 1964 Jacobellis v. Ohio case, Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart delivered what has become the most well-known line related to the detection of “hard-core” pornography: the infamous “I know it when I see it.”

Better to ask blacks about Trump being a racist, they really know it when they see it, and the see it a lot in Trump. Just ask Omarosa:
As the only African American woman in this [Trump's] White House, as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people,” --- Omarosa Manigault
    See above.
Oh, so you agree it's a pathetic way to launch a campaign, eh? But the question is, are you a Trump supporter or not?
And don't give me the 'literary agent' red herring. He had nothing to do with the concerted effort of Trump ill-conceived birther campaign launch. That's like trying to blame the Parthians for Roman's death by bow and arrow, the Parthians who gave the idea of archery to the Romans.
McCain was born in Panama, no one challenged his citizenship. Ted Cruz was born in Canada, and no one challenged his citizenship.

So, along comes the first black man in history to campaign for president, and all of the sudden, he's challenged.

What in holy hell are we supposed to think? See the Justice Potter quote, above.
Well, it's only of significance in this conversation if you are a Trump support or not.
If not, then I'll forget about it. If you are, then you have to answer for his transgressions which are serious.
We'll let the less serious ones slide, like verbal gaffs and such.
Barack's mother's citizenship was not in dispute, and that's all that is required for naturalization.
No amount of racism is okay, but the question of determination of whether or not someone is a racist, could or should have something to do with quantity and severity. Now, Trump is no KKKer, but he is featured in a full page headline with accolades on the Crusader, the KKK rag, and he was sued by NY state for discrimination against blacks, and then there is the racist rap sheet published on Vox, which is extensive. Many post photos of Trump oogling black celebs, but, apparently, you get a get-out-of-black-racist-treatment card from Trump if you are a celebrity, because, after all, Trump loves celebrities, especially given that he had a show devoted to them.
Well, then, inform then that during our taxi training week back in late 70s, they showed us maps of high crime areas, and 70th and Main was dead center in one of them.
A few on this forum noted that elderly people such as myself, spoke using terminology that once wasn't considered racist, but, today, might be, such as the term 'negro'. We are sometimes given to gaffs, forgetting that today's language has changed in a number of ways on the subject. They suggested that Trump's gaffs, and that of us elderly folk, are pretty much on the same plane of severity.

What I did was disabuse those who made such a declaration by pointing to the racist rap sheet published on Vox.

So, I don't get how you can say it's a false equivalency, when the comparison clearly proves my point, that they do not compare.

See, 'false equivalency' does the opposite; it attempts to compare to uneven items as similar.

I did just the opposite, I diffused a false equivalency levied at me.

So, if I diffused a false equivalency, which I did, then how can THAT be a false equivalency? It just doesn't follow.

    Capiche?

So, you figure we shouldn't have a travel ban? I guess this means you probably didn't support Trump's travel ban, either.

I mean 'gaffe' as in 'verbal gaffe' which is a 'guffaw'.

In the us, we were young, terminology was less of a big deal.

For example, one could, easily, in a conversation refered to the Rodeo Rd/La Cienega Area of Los Angeles as the 'Jungle", a black neighborhood ( at the time, it may have changed by now), as it was commonly known in Hollywood (where I lived and drove a cab ) at the time of the late 70s, and you could easily say that to a black, and he or she wouldn't raised an eyebrow. I know this, because a number of my black friends were also taxi drivers and they used the term, as well, to describe that particular area. It wasn't the big deal then. But, of course, today, it is. I understand that and accept it.

It's this kind of thing, today, that has changed, people are far more sensitive. No one today is going to intentionally refer to a black area as a jungle, unless terms of once upon time seep through us old fart's consciousness. I realize, and we try our best, but some of us old farts forget and verbal gaffes are inevitable.

But, you really shouldn't fault a 77 year old man for it, after all, the vast majority of Blacks love Biden.

Apparently only in democrat circles. The need racism to be at the forefront or they really have nothing.
