For me the vegies depend on what else is for dinner. Some vegies go well with beef, others with poultry, others with fish, and still others with seafood. Beef -- green beans or broccoli Poultry -- corn or yams or beets Fish & seafood -- cauliflower or peppers or carrots.
Yep, there will be three separate vote tallies at the end. One tally using the Instant Runoff method, one using Ranked Pairs, and one using Plurality for comparison. Possibly, future Ranked Votes will include additional methods. I might also try to put together some sort of infographic to walk through the tally process. -Meta
Avocado, beans, carrots, spinach, corn, green beans. I eat a lot of avocado, which I believe is technically a nut (?) I love corn, but I try to stay away from GMO, which limits me to what little I can grow... and also, its a grain, not a veggie. Beans rock, but I don't think they're a veggie either. I like artichokes, but not enough to go out of my way to get em (are they even a vegetable?).
Lol! I can't imagine how much difference that would make. When I was still in school, one week we just had a bowl of the things just sitting around for some reason. A few of us made the mistake of eating one; like the vegetable version of Atomic Fireballs those things... And speaking of fireballs, we ended up using them as projectiles. (we sure weren't going to try to eat them again, lol) -Meta
The Geneva convention specifically outlaws hot peppers in any food fight. You may have just earned a trip to the Hague.
They ain't peppers though, and besides...I never said we were chucking them at other people. You see...this house we used to all hang out at, it had a garage that had been converted into a living room. And one day...this big ole...um...insect, started crawling up one of the walls. And of course, nobody wants to go over and knock it down. So I'm sitting there with this bowl of radishes no one wants to eat, and I'm like...no way, I'm not staying in this room with that thing crawling up the wall. So I grab a radish...and nailed it! True story. But I guess this proves that video games do cause violence. All those years of playing Super Mario Brothers 2 when I was younger...guess it had an effect. -Meta
Love pretty much all vegetables (and fruits), but tend to go heavy on the ones known as "Superfoods" (and many of their "Sidekicks")... https://superfoodsrx.com/the-superfoods/
Maybe I am, maybe I'm not But broccoli is great, all you folks who refuse to eat it are missing out. The way its cooked though can make a pretty big difference.
You can vote however you want. Is Okra really your favorite though? Personally, I find Okra to be disgusting. I don't care how you cook it. I'd rather eat a Radish!
Hey, mushrooms are cool, I put them in my list too. So shall I mark you down for: Mushrooms, 'Tatters, Sweet Potatoes/Yams, Cauliflower, Eggplant, Carrots? -Meta
I put fried Okra right up there with fried Green Tomatoes and Baked Beans, French Green Beans, Mushrooms, Scalloped Potatoes, Candied Yams and I'm sure there are some I'm overlooking. I don't like Corn, Baked Potatoes, Broccoli, Asparagus, Cauliflower and Brussel Sprouts.
Well, they aren't vegetables, they are fruits. That said, we do eat them as vegetables. I don't have a favorite. I like broccoli, corn (not a vegetable either), tomatoes, peppers, lima beans, snow peas, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, carrots, onions, leafy lettuce, green peas, zucchini, squash.
Here’s mine: Garlic, sweet potato, potato, peas, spinach, brussels sprouts, carrots, onion, and mushrooms.
So, my favorite isn't actually a vegetable. But Shitake mushrooms are the best. With some shallots (vegetable) and lots of other tasty things, Shitake's rule. Now, I do also like truffles. Which are not mushrooms, but are similar and also are not vegetables. But, they do make most everything better, including vegetables.
Some of my family members insist that sweet potato pie is superior to pumpkin pie. Now, obviously I like sweet potatoes, but I really can't tell the difference between the pies. I just think that they both taste amazing! -Meta
