The way I read it an agency is barred from punishing the whistleblower it did not specify what activities it covered.

Is that the same lawyer who said the coup has started?

An anonymous person who is being threatened. If you threaten someone whose identity you don't yet know, you are still committing a crime. Do I really need to explain this to you? Really???

You've got to laugh. Some people are just not particularly bright. Of all lawyers they picked the most compromised one.

Whistleblower attorney tweeted of Trump 'coup,' rebellion

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/nov/6/mark-zaid-whistleblower-attorney-tweeted-trump-cou/

The attorney representing the Ukraine whistleblower tweeted about starting a “coup” against President Trump that would end with his impeachment almost as soon as he took the oath of office.

Mark S. Zaid wrote on his certified Twitter account on Jan. 30, 2017, Mr. Trump’s 11th day in power, that “#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow ultimately. #lawyers.”

Uhm, he or she IS a whistle-blower. That's the entire idea of keeping government clean, something that a number of Trumpsuckers out there do not understand.

False. Patently false. I didn't say "truth". Truth can be treated as relative. I wrote about FACTS.
Better luck to you next time. All you need to do is to actually read for content and with some good old discernment, and then, just maybe, wonderful things can happen.

So all you need to do is read the transcript. No need to keep moving the goalposts. The president hasn"t done anything wrong.

But as stated in this thread, the credibility of the WB is entirely up to the judge and jury or Senators in this instance!

Then you should read it again.

A serious or flagrant problem, abuse, violation of law or Executive Order, or deficiency relating to the funding, administration, or operation of an intelligence activity within the responsibility and authority of the Director of National Intelligence involving classified information, but does not include differences of opinion concerning public policy matters.

That in itself is alarming. My one time with a lawyer, he told me "STOP! I want you and your wife to go home, and think hard about how you want me to defend you! DO NOT tell me anything that might incriminate you. Just keep in mind that YOU ARE INNOCENT". In other words lie your fooking ass off! With that advice I/we skated thru a bust of 150 plants/cultivation charge with a misdemeanor, no arrest, no finger print and one year supervised probation. And my company couldn't even fire me :)

You gotta love a dirty lawyer(S)

We understand that when Obama was waging war on "whistleblowers", Democrats didn't seem to mind.

Obama persecuted more whistleblowers than ALL previous administrations COMBINED.
