Here's an idea for those of you concerned about the environment and trying to reduce waste:
    recyclable packaging materials.

I looked into a large trash bin, and what I saw was a lot of plastic wrappers and huge pieces of molded styrofoam. These are packaging materials that people are going to throw out anyway.

It should not be too difficult to come up with a way to replace these materials with a recyclable alternative. Something that is more environmentally friendly.

Because Styrofoam is not good for the environment after it is disposed.

Now, I'm not suggesting just putting a flat out ban on them. (That would be a simple-headed approach) But maybe there could be a small tax placed on those materials to convince companies to use the alternatives. (And there might be certain special situations where the recyclable versions do not work as well)

I think this could make a big environmental impact without too much inconvenience or cost.

So there's the idea. If you want environmental change, it is up to YOU!
But I expect this idea isn't going to go anywhere because everyone reading this will just be too lazy to do anything about.
