It's just a lot more affordable and good food is good food.
I buy 'the Good' reduced food.
By habit now I pop into M&S at the end of the day.
I've just had a rather enjoyable coleslaw they call skinny slaw..
Coconut, Butternut & Broccoli with Cranberries...
But because it was from M&S, you know it's the nicest the UK has to offer by way of supermarket food.
    £1.50 I got for £0.40
    Was so good though...
Who knew I'd be excited about a coleslaw?

In general though, all their food I buy is reduced stock sold to clear. I stock up and store but, yeah.

Groceries are horrifically expensive. There are ways to avoid spending multiple hundreds per week for a family.

NEVER buy out of season fruit or vegetables .. that's a total luxury, and adds air/freight miles (bad for environment!). Grow as much of your own as possible, and stick to Aldi for the rest :p

Aldi is good for meat and F&V, but I don't trust the processed food. After Fonterra milk in China and the hepatitis blueberries I'm very wary.

Most of your milk comes from the same places with different labels on them in the US. The trucks often carry extra labels with them in case they need to turn Store A brand into Store B brand

Lidl sell substandard food. I've not been to an Aldi (though I've passed them)... They remind me of Lidl though.
What's the point for me of buying cheap food at full price when I can, because it's on my way home from Croydon - Buy discounted food from M&S?
