That matter aside, however, the united state supreme court has also held that such conditions and qualifications cannot be arbitrary or capricious in nature. Instead they must pass strict scrutiny in order to qualify as constitutional. In order for such to occur the proposals must fulfill a compelling government interest, they must be narrowly tailored in going about fulfilling that compelling interest, and they must be the least restrictive approach available in doing just that. If all three qualifications are not met at the same time, the proposed restriction fails and is thus unconstitutional.

If you actually look at the gun traces from Chicago (they *are* on-line)you will find that most of the guns come from Illinois itself. Most are over five years old indicating that most are stolen or are obtained from family and friends that obtained them at some point in the past.

Saying that most of the guns used in crime in Chicago come from out-of-state is nothing more than a canard propagated by gun ban proponents for political purposes.

You may want to do some reading on the existing FEDERAL gun laws and their consequences for lying or filling out form 4473 incorrectly. Following that, read up on the penalties to the seller and buyer for owning, selling, or buying a stolen firearm. When done, get back to us.

 

the ARC doesn't care if laws against criminals are actually enforced because hampering or impeding criminals are not the main or even collateral goals of the Anti Rights Coalition. Their main goal is punishing gun owners and the NRA for the support those groups give to conservative politicians and their collateral goal is to make things safer for dangerous street thugs. So the ARC wants to pass laws-knowing that stupid harassing laws are going to harass honest people while not doing a thing to the mopes
