Never forget.. death will be the greatest achievement of your life

Unless they can put your brain in a box like Ruth bader Ginsburg and give you immortality

May peace and immortality be with you. At least one of the two is certainly achievable

Have a great day live laugh and love

Maybe we can create a new world order out of one of Ruth bader Ginsburg ribs? Naahhhhh. Pass the barbecue sauce

I feel so sorry for those that don't accept Jesus as their savior.

While we don't know for certain what hell will be like it's not the preferable conclusion which they will realize.

If anyone would like to know why I believe you are more than welcome to PM me and we can keep it out of the forum.

And even though it is a sin I would take a bite of those ribs and chew it extra long.

Then I would spit it out.

Beer can kill the man but save mankind

I mean really if alcohol was going to end humanity we would have all been dead a long time ago

Hell we might not have ever been born

Alcohol may not save humanity but it certainly makes it easier to deal with.

Babies used to be the last to get baths resulting in them being thrown out with the bathwater

Modern plumbing had a drastic effect on the survival of youth

And the evidence for Jesus as "savior" and hell is what exactly? No need for personal details. Just provide some evidence for your claims.

If there were direct evidence there would be no reason for faith.

And if I had it I still wouldn't share it with you because I'm not sure I want to spend eternity with you.

If you want evidence I suggest you do what I did and ask God to provide it.

He will do it in a way that convinces you.

I know someone who lost a leg in a car accident. I will test what you say and pray for her to get a new leg.

And why would God give her a new leg?

You don't pray to ask for stuff you know, well obviously you don't know, but you don't.

I know -- praying for a new leg would have two chances of success, slim and none - and slim just left town.

Don't tell me I don't know. I used to be a believer. People will pray for brain cancer to be cured and so forth. Why won't they pray for someone to get a new eye, leg, or arm. I listened to a preacher claim one time that prayer restored a deaf persons hearing. So if an external ear was ripped off would God restore it?

People pray for things that could happen without supernatural forces being involved and then when someone recovers from cancer (as a result of medical treatment) they claim that person was healed by prayer. But I never see believers pray for something that we all know will never happen.

And I always like the disclaimer always offered up, "Lord, if your will be done" so as to have an out when prayer doesn't work.

BTW, there are scientific studies that prove prayer does not work.

I know I am beating a dead horse but my goal is to get one person to throw off the shackles of brainwashing and be free to think. It happened to me and I want to give back.

Now suppose for the sake of argument you were brainwashed. How would you know?

Praying does work, the problem is that you don't understand the point of prayer.

It's not to run off a checklist asking for stuff, it's to commune with God.

Sure we ask for stuff and If His Will Be Done then fine but it's not a request, it's us pouring out our feelings to Him. We are talking to God about things we care about, things affecting us, we are kneeling before him and crying, pouring out our souls and begging for help and his guidance.

We are expressing that we are suffering, that pain is real, that life is hurting us with the only expectation that He listens and comforts us.

    That He hears our pleas.

And He does, every single time. How He chooses to respond is often in unexpected and miraculous ways and I have personally seen this.....it's usually not something you would have ever considered.

    But God doesn't do requests.

If I pray to God that I want my mother to be cured of cancer I am not praying for him to actually do it, I am praying to Him so that He understands my pain and I can communicate with Him. He has His plan and my prayer won't change that but if I pray strong and sincere He will hear me and listen.

What He does after that is anyone's guess but it's usually a good thing.

    Prayer is extremely powerful.

And they don't always need to be deep prayers, for instance, I often pray to God on my drive to work and it calms me....sometimes I just really seem to hit a note and will actually pull over and bow my head and that is my time I get to spend with just God.

Just the wave of love that washes over you after a good prayer is indescribable.

I am so sorry you can never experience this.

Hell is not the reason for which I believe. Many have a taste of it here on earth. There is a better motivation to "believe".

It's not why I or probably most believers believe either.

I bring that up often but just to prove points, the reason to believe isn't fear but the love and enjoyment.

The confidence, the safety, the lack of fear.

Why not. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

isn't it kind of arrogant to ask your god to change his perfect plan? especially for a kids' baseball game or other useless request.

I feel sorry for those who don't exalt the Golden Rule over Jesus, wait, should I pity a narcissist/co-narcissist?
