Let’s assume you’re a banker. Spent your life working at say Wells Fargo for the last 18 years. Where you gonna go? Because you’re not getting a job at a financial institution as they’re all above 100 employees.

Of course they will. People are not going to take an experimental drug. And forcing them to do so is HIGHLY unethical.

Moreover you explain to me why you think it’s stupid to not want to take a drug we have literally ZERO long term safety data on. These drugs haven’t even been approved by the fda. Not that it really matters with as politicized as the fda has become.

But the people making the bet this is one of the MINISCULE number of drugs which make it through development and all three stages of clinical testing with little to no long term consequences are the stupid ones.

But try to get comirnaty in the US. You can’t. You can only receive the experimental drug which is still under EUA.

Why did they do that? To make you think you’re getting an approved drug when you’re actually taking an experimental one. Why? Because if you take an experimental drug you can’t sue but if you take an approved one you can.

In terms of what is contained inside the vial of each they are identical. Pfizer and BioNTech simply formally "branded" or named their vaccine Comirnaty.

BioNTech is the German biotechnology company that partnered with Pfizer in bringing this COVID-19 vaccine to market.

"Pfizer Comirnaty" and "Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine" are biologically and chemically the same thing.

I don't know what its like in Boise and Meridian but where I live in Idaho our local hospital has all their ICU rooms open and available. Not one single one filled up. Population a little over 5k. Same with the next town over. Population 9k.

 

The point I made to which MJ was responding is Repubs rejecting the conclusions of scientists working within their academic discipline in favor of seeking conclusions from scientists or doctors expressing opinions on matters outside their academic discipline. Like Trump making a radiologist his go to COVID adviser because he didn't like what experts in epidemiology were saying. Or climate change deniers taking the word of physicists over climate change scientists.
So the question isn't "doctors have education and training we don't have." It's Repubs listening to doctors with no expertise in the field they are commenting on.

Yes they are identical chemically but not legally. But you can’t get comirnaty in the US. THey will only give you the EUA vaccine.
