American families are hurting and Pelosi held up the third stimulus over Art funding, same day voter registration & student loan forgiveness.

Now Massachusetts rep Ayanna Presley
Wants us to give money to illegals and prisoners in the next stimulus package.

Too bad Charlie Manson & Jeffrey Dahmer did not live long enough to see this.

I agree with you. Trump gave too much of a tax break to the super rich, but the middle class also received a tax break.

I am a conservative independent & I end up usually voting republicans because they throw me more scraps than the democrats.

I have never seen a payroll tax break under a democrat president.

Why do Democrats always fight for criminals?

I always say, most Democrats aren't criminals, but most criminals are Democrats.

If Democrats fought for Americans as hard as the fight for foreign nationals who sneak into America and come and go unchecked and unregulated at will, they would never lose an election.

 

What about tax increases and NEW taxes ?

 

Basically, it seems if it has the potential to harm Americans, empower bureaucrats, create chaos, bankrupt the taxpayer and/or assist our enemy, they are ALL FOR IT.

IF illegals need to make money to support their families, then they might go out into public WITH the virus ... if they restart the infection rate, it may cost us another trillion dollars, rather than the $20 - 30 million to get them to stay home.

I admit, it sucks to pay illegals - but will it be less expensive for us in the long run. Think about it.

 

I think when the foreign national that snuck into America tries to get money from the government, the government should inform ice and the foreign national should be arrested and deported.

Democrats aid abet and encourage foreign nationals to sneak into America and even want to provide them with gifts paid for by Americans.

In the real world, they are harvesting the food we need to eat to get us through 3 months of lock-down. Since in the real world, they are going to be here, we have the choice of incentivizing them to stay home, or we force them out into public spaces, possibly restarting the virus cycle - which would cost us another trillion plus ... it's not as easy a choice as you paint it.

You act like the farms will just go away if they have to abide by hiring rules Democrats impose on Americans. Farms hire foreign nationals here illegally to avoid labor laws.

As I understand it, the stimulus is an advance tax credit. Which I don't entirely understand... but it sounds like a fancy way of saying 'we printed it out of our ass.' The cost will just be redistributed back to us in the form of inflation. Which, if true, will be suffered by the already impoverished, not the rich.

Another way of thinking about this is like when you use your credit card to fix your transmission so you don't lose your job. You're still buying a new transmission. Just later for more money.

Just in case any of you were thinking -'ya, give those billionaires' money to illegals and convicts! that'll show em!' Not how its working. Its your money. You'll be paying it back with perpetually more expensive milk, bread and gasoline because your money is less valuable because they just printed more.

So lets please try to keep this stimulus about unshocking the economy instead of redistributing wealth. Because there isn't any wealth being redistributed.

Yet, anyway. I guess some of you want to redistribute your wealth to convicts and illegals...? Now is certainly an odd time to start...

 

It's not a threat - it's a simple statement of fact. And Republican farm owners and meat-packing plants have been busted plenty of times for hiring illegals. Meat packing plants have the highest rate of injury of any industry, yet you're happy when you can buy meat and produce on sale ... it's just a fact of life. Either you pretend it doesn't exist or you accept reality.
Right now, it's not a reality that can be changed in two weeks.

Either we are a nation of laws or we aren't. Foreign nationals here illegally should be sought out and deported. Americans who exploit, aid, abet, and provide them sanctuary should also be arrested. This includes people who knowingly hire landscapers and nannies here illegally.

I'm someone who supports the idea of citizenship for illegal immigrants with no criminal history here, but I had to facepalm when I saw some politicians and media outlets decrying this. Of course they aren't getting a stimulus check, they're not citizens here and I can't imagine many of them, if any, are filing tax returns and paying income tax. In order to even do so, I would think they'd have needed to commit identity theft in order to have a working SSN to use on the return, which is a crime and disqualifies them for the path to citizenship I'm in favor of.
