    Gold is not an investment, it is speculation. It MAY be a hedge for hyperinflation. Me, I'd rather invest in the stock market using an index fund, betting on the productivity and innovation of the American companies as a whole. Inflation protection is important in retirement, that's why one can't play it too safe, so I am going for a 40/60 stock/fixed income mix when I retire in 8 years or so.

    It is certainly a hedge for inflation which is a real possibility in the near future. You may remember that they called government bonds "certificates of confiscation" during Regan's first term. I will buy bonds when and if inflation peaks. You could get 18% at that time.

    Well he's right, big tech is breaking several laws but honestly, why bother, I have no faith in the legal system.... it's been all talk for 4 years and the only people who were investigated were conservatives...
