So if it's about "righting historical wrongs" why stop at Colonial times? Lets go back to Biblical times, heck why stop there, the dawn of mankind. Anyone on earth can find some "victim heritage" if they go back far enough. So why the special privilege for only one group? Here's a thought, if you ever get some reparation money, take that $ and use it to abolish slavery still going on in the world today, you know to people who ARE slaves in their actual lifetime. Or realize you were never a slave and no one living in the USA today owned slaves (well, except for actual human traffickers and sex slaves, and the majority of those traffickers are brown folks). If you want "reparations" then pay it to all.
Are you looking for someone to agree with you that Egypt owes reparations to Jews and Italians owe reparations to...everyone in the Mediterranean and Europe?
