    BINGO! there are plenty black folks who’s ancestors were not slaves and who will be forced to pay to other black folks who had some. Would this drive blacks out of Democrat camp?

    Imagine the fraud that will be committed by people trying to connect themself to a slave.

    We will have Hatians who arrived here in 2012, saying Grand Dad is related to an slave actor from the movie Roots.

    Sorry.... that don’t count !

    You also know that they will not prosecute anyone who commits fraud & millions and millions will be handed out to people who have no ties to a real slave.

    If the Dems win in 2020, they will probably bring back Acorn to hand out the money in cash.

    And as @Steve N mentioned before, what about the white yankees who died in the civil war? Are their decendents to be paid, or do they pay as well?

    I wish someone would ask Elisabeth Warren if we eventually payout Reperations, would that end affirmative action.

    You know the answer..... We could give every black a million dollars & the left would still support affirmative action.

    you do realise that descendants of holocaust survivors are getting payments from european nations right? so why is that good but reparations for so called african americans bad?

    because the 400 years of free labour that whites benefited from has been to the detriment of the black community. it was only 100 years ago that slavery ended, the holocaust ended 80 years ago. Whites are paying white jewish ppl reparations but not blacks because slavery was 20 years before holocaust. so basically whites cut off reparations if the claim was made 81 years after the incident. sounds a bit arbitrary, me thinks its more to do with the colour of the recipient.

    So because Europe is idiotic we should be? The only people that should get reparations are the people who suffered. And the only people that sould pay them are the perpetrators. So if anybody but Germany is paying reparations to anybody but Holocaust survivors, there are some idiots doing idiotic things.

    And no you do not feel the pain of your ancestors.
    Slaves are long dead. There are still Holocaust survivors alive today.

    the slavers [white] that started all this were actually paid reparations. there was some big bad slaver from europe who got £5million [in todays currency]. im pretty certain this happened in america also.

    Whites? Not ALL slave owner were white. There were plenty of black Africans in Africa who where selling there own kind to the slave market.

    No, I do not realize this. Even in my ignorance I instinctively think there are no similarities between Holocaust survivors and their family members being returned property stolen from them and restitution, paid to someone whose ancestors were slaves centuries ago.

    If an African American can trace his family tree back and prove that at one time one or more of his ancestors were slaves, give him reparations in the form of cash, but................then trace his ancestry back and find out if any of his ancestors had been given welfare benefits from the US taxpayer, then deduct that from the final figure. If the benefits paid out total more that the reparations, he owes the taxpayer money. Works both ways 8)
