Report: NFL to play black national anthem before season openers

I couldn't care less what they honor. They are a bunch of over paid prima donnas playing a childrens game.

Did you know that Francis Scott Key was a known slave owner? Kind of funny he got all emotional in a British prison hold when he imprisoned many people himself for life.

 

I think it's a little ungrateful when they kneel during the National Anthem and disrespect my service. You'd think someone would be thankful that someone else fought for their freedom.

Which goes back to my original statement about the NFL honoring the military for a full week. They are thankful .

That has nothing to do with you or any other person in the military. And remember, You are the one that fought to give them that Freedom.

I'm surprised that some of these so-called patriotic people haven't complained about you putting the confederate flag above the U.S. flag.

There's no more reason to kneel during this song that few seemed to know was the "Black National Anthem" than there is to kneel during the National Anthem.

But yes, if anyone kneels during the alleged BNA, their lives WILL be destroyed.

 

Problem is that they seem to want it both ways. Those that support BLM say kneeling during the anthem is not disrespecting people that have served. But yet they claim someone saying "All lives matter" is disrespectful to people of color. I would agree that if someone responded "white lives matter" that would be disrespectful, but saying "all lives matter" is not excluding black lives or necessarily being disrespectful. The problem is that whether something is disrespectful or not is not up to the person doing the "disrespect". If "the movement" wanted to get a message across and build empathy, those that knelt should have apologized for kneeling during the anthem and found some other method to display their message.....like maybe all kneeling on the 50-yard line prior to the anthem, but standing for the anthem itself. A display like that would have shown a strong message and gained empathy. You do not gain much empathy when you display a lack of empathy towards the beliefs of others.

There are no black people in the stands & I don’t see the players taking count while on the field.

I am not going to kneel, but I am also not going to stand. I plan on sitting, but it may also be a good time to go to the concession stand.

Thankfully it only happens once every four years whenever the Dem Party is running for the presidency with a really terrible candidate. It's one hell of a way in which to direct the political narrative from your weakness to what you pretend to believe in but don't; but then again this IS the party of the Polical ends justifies the political means.
