    So you're saying that Fatah alone speaks for Palestine.......Do the Palestinians know this?

    Seems like not everybody's on the same page with this.....HOW CAN WE RECOGNIZE "PALESTINE" IF THEY DON'T RECOGNIZE THEMSELVES?

    The Palestinians want their own contiguous state.. but they are terrorized by occupation.

    Yes. It already has via Resolution 242. I think we can expect new resolutions once it sinks into American heads that the world wants the Zionists out of Palestine now.

    How is the U.N. going to force Israel's hand? Are they not a sovereign state?

    242 is ancient. What will the new resolution look like?

    I do know that....that response just had absolutely nothing to do with my reply (which had to do with representation), so I ignored it.

    Its a leap you made, not me.

    So, therefore, Hamas is not the legitimate voice of Gaza since they did stuff that the "Arab World" doesnt like?

    Sooo...you are saying that it would be ok with you if the "Arab World" vetoed the elected Hamas government?

    That is only true for rogue states , they do not care about what the world wants.

    Civilized countries have a good reputation, and they do not want to lose it.

    Jordan would do well to consider what is happening in Tunisia. It has many, many years of collaboration to live down. Efforts to establish a viable and contiguous Palestinian State with al-Quds as its capital will certainly be viewed favorably by any post-revolution administrations across the Middle East.

    ???? You are confused. Tunisia has always opposed Israels right to exist, and the people are revolting. Jordan has since its peace treaty given Israel full recognition.

    It's you that's confused. Prior to 2000 and the Israeli-instigated 2nd Intifada Tunisia had diplomatic relations with Israel. Jordan is a collaborator , as I said.
    You're wrong an awful lot, Dixon. Shouldn't you be reading more and posting less ?

    Are you speaking of the 30 to 1 kill rate or the confiscation of property and destruction of olive groves as mercy?

    I made no assertion regarding "diplomatic relations" , but of course, that precisely why you go there now. Did you want to dispute anything within the post you have chosen to respond to?........I didnt think so.

    Jordan really had no choice, did they?

    Meanwhile Russia and Jordan have an agreement to build 3 nuclear power and desalination plants in Jordan.

    Israel is lobbying hard to block that infrastructure development.

    Israel shouldn't count on Jordanian support.

    Dixon;

    You said;

    Dixon;
    I pointed out that Tunisia had diplomatic relations with Israel prior to Israel's warmongering in 2000. In short, I'm right and you ain't.

    AS AN ARAB SEES THE JEWS

    His Majesty King Abdullah,
    The American Magazine
    November, 1947

    Summary

    This fascinating essay, written by King Hussein’s grandfather King Abdullah, appeared in the United States six months before the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. In the article, King Abdullah disputes the mistaken view that Arab opposition to Zionism (and later the state of Israel) is because of longstanding religious or ethnic hatred. He notes that Jews and Muslims enjoyed a long history of peaceful coexistence in the Middle East, and that Jews have historically suffered far more at the hands of Christian Europe.

    Pointing to the tragedy of the holocaust that Jews suffered during World War II, the monarch asks why America and Europe are refusing to accept more than a token handful of Jewish immigrants and refugees.

    It is unfair, he argues, to make Palestine, which is innocent of anti-Semitism, pay for the crimes of Europe. King Abdullah also asks how Jews can claim a historic right to Palestine, when Arabs have been the overwhelming majority there for nearly 1300 uninterrupted years?

    The essay ends on an ominous note, warning of dire consequences if a peaceful solution cannot be found to protect the rights of the indigenous Arabs of Palestine.

    (To better understand the Jordanian position)

    They didnt send an ambassador, they didnt have an embassy, and they were still opposed to Israels right to exist. Im right and you are still irrelevant.

    One can hardly be opposed to the existence of an entity by having diplomatic relations with it . Still, you think these things out for yourself, Dixon.

    Don't kid yourself.. Jordan is no friend of Israel.

    And they are NOT happy about Israel blocking their nuclear power and desalination projects.

    True. They take the American shilling to offer Zionism a friendly face. As does Mubarak's Egypt.

    Generally "diplomatic relations" involve an exchange of Ambassadors and embassies in each others state. Tunisia had neither. Theyve never even formally recognized Israel.
