Half of Jordan's population are pissed off refugees who were driven out of Palestine by the Zionists.. As a matter of self preservation Jordan has to cool it.
Yes, I've recently met one. She was pretending to be Jordanian until she discovered I was a dedicated anti-Zionist. Not unsurprisingly, she wants her grandfather's land back.
No one has argued that Jordan is a friend of Israel. Jordan and Egypt are the only members of the Arab League who recognize Israel. The only two Arab nations who waged war in 48, who are not still under a formal declaration of war against Israel
No one can recognize Israel because they do not have established borders but continue with illegal settlements in occupied territory that doesn't belong to them.
Not even a third are refugees displaced from Israel or territories. And the other 2/3rds were all Palestinians, until they decided to start calling themselves Jordanians.
The Jordanians renounced any claims they had to the West Bank. And any claims they had, were the result of military conquest.
Jordan didn't CLAIM the West Bank... They administered Palestinian territory just as Egypt administered Gaza. Military conquest? So you are comparing Israel to the Third Reich or Saddam's invasion of Kuwait?
I would point out that no one was claiming that they had.... but there probably wouldnt be any point. And the above, still dont recognize Israel.
Do you recognize illegal immigrants to the US? How about Hitler's rights to Poland and Austria or even Saddam's rights to Kuwait?
Nooo, they annexed the territory, stuck a flag in it and called it Jordan. King Abdullah was declared King of Jerusalem. Gave all the ARAB residents Jordanian citizenship. Part of history you missed.
Poland Austria and Kuwait were sovereign countries. Britain abandoned the Mandate, Jordan renounced any and all claims to the territory.
Notice how you just abandon your claims whenever challenged, and move onto the next topic. I've never been. Did you have a point?
The West Bank and Gaza were not part of Jordan or Egypt proper.. they were annexed and administered to settle palestinian refugees and provide governance. Israel has always been a trouble maker with Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt... forever on welfare and forever maintaining that they are victims. This should explain Zionist ambitions A Historical Survey of Proposals to Transfer Arabs from Palestine 1895 - 1947 by Rabbi Dr. Chaim Simons http://chaimsimons.net/transfer.html
>>>We got a few of those of our own, including that Howdy-Doodystein clone from Connecticut who just announced he isn't going to run again.
Thank you, Russia, on behalf of Iman al-Hams, a 13-year old refugee schoolgirl who was executed -- after being wounded -- by an Israeli platoon commander on the sad sands of Rafah. http://www.pcdc.edu.ps/Killing_Iman_al-Hams.htm
Dont know whether its already been mentioned - Norway is a YES. Every member of the international community with any sense of justice and decency will recognise Palestinians right to self determination having an independent viable contigious state. Those who oppose it shall go down in history as rogues/rats with the stench of skunks until they withdraw their opposition . btw - that does not exclude our govt if they fail to support the application. (wink)

Recognition of Palestine simply turns the 60 yr old conflict into a truely international conflict. Israel would then be fully justified in responding to acts of war by the palestinian state with waging war against the new Palestinian state. Recognition of a new nation, that doesnt actually exist, by other nations, really has no effect. Generally the people of a region create a nation, and then other nations recognize that existance. Recognition by others doesnt bring it about. Just as Arafats declaration of the new nation of Palestine, from his villa in Algiers in 1988, didnt bring about its existance, other nations stating a declaration of their recognition wont magically bring it about.
No doubt you put the recent creation of Kosovo and Southern Somalia into different categories, neither being overly important to Zionism.
No, same principal. The pronouncements from the halls of the UN have little effect and it is the conditions in reality on the ground that creates the nations.
' Conditions on the ground ' are likely to change dramatically with the united support of most of the world's existing States. Thus one affects the other and vice versa.
Unlike the Israeli situation when a ragtag of Jews frae a' the airts were parachuted into Palestine by my ******** government, becoming people of a region by colonisation, followed by terrorism and fighting, to get a hold and not a people with a right with which to bless themselves. The Palestinians, on the other hand, who did and do have more of a right to be a nation, were royally shafted by a West which used Palestine to solve the European Jewish Question...and a UN which threw their Charter obligations to the indigenous population out of the window. Politicians make me sick!
