I guess you did not see that a number of his points involve means testing. Being a leftist, I can't really fault you for not understanding that this is a negative.

The people are likely to use federal funded abortions are most likely on entitlements already. Paying for the abortion with taxes, will be cheaper then having to take care of the child once its born. If the person is already leeching off of entitlements, what makes you think it will suddenly afford a baby? They won't...the baby needs food, clothing, healthcare...etc. That will cost far more then funding an abortion.

Although I agree on the principle with you, I'm looking at the situation in an objective manner. A way that puts less burden on all taxpayers which may sometimes be against moral beliefs.

Weak ass field the Repugs came up with. You all can try to put a thong and lipstick on this pig.. but its just gonna come out looking awkward and unhappy.

The only candidates I could see even having a slim chance from those clowns are

Huntsman.. alot of good ideas about trade and a real understanding of global economics... (but he wants to double down on Tax cuts for the multimillionaires and hasnt said a thing about helping out small businesses.. nobody is perfect). Wants to get us out Iraq and Afghanistan. Believes that evolution and climate change do exist. Huntsman just needs a more agressive campaign style.. more pizzaz. He needs to steal a bit of the demographic that would be excited by Perry ( He could say he will punch the deficit in the face until it cries uncle... or make a commercial where rides up to a drilling rig on his Harley while wearing open carry holsters with .45's tucked in them.. say some crap like "freedom oil for our troops" or something like that)

Romney.. he is establishment status-quo kinda guy and Corporate America really wants him in the drivers seat. He talks alot of smak about job creation.. all he did in the private sector was buy companies.. chop them up and sell them off.

Perry will sink his own boat.. He is already showing that he cant keep his mouth shut about crap that will destroy him. Plus he has so many (*)(*)(*)(*) skeletons in his closet , it aint near funny. Rick Perry will get smoked by Bankerpuppet-Obama... but in order for that to happen .. he has to avoid gettin smoked by Romney or Huntsman.. dont think he will make it... too stupid

Margot , , , you're right , and you always are , and if anyone tells you that you were ever wrong ( except for KK8 ) then you have my permission to remind them how right you've always been ... and what a wise person you are ..

You're a credit to yourself , Margot , a legend in your own mind , , , and give yourself a pat on the back ...on second thought , let me do it. [IMG]

Huntsman is our Rino detector. Anyone who actually likes him is just pretending to be a Republican.

This field is as confusing to me as it seems to be to the Repubs / Conservs. One day Romney is the shoe-in, the next day, Perry takes the lead. Indies and Moderates clearly prefer Romney and get the heebee jeebees from a self-proclaimed Social-Conservative from Texas with bad budgeting skills. But the party itself, seems to be leaning in his direction.

Frankly, I like Paul the best and would for him before Obama. Same with Romney. Perry? Hmmm. I'd have to think that one over.
And if anyone let's Whackmann or Eskimo Barbie near a ticket - even as VP, Obama gets a second term. At least that's your local neighborhood Indie's view.

Paul would be good, but his foreign policy will destroy the country.

A lot of Democrats and Independents like Ron Paul. They're sick of voting for Democrat politicians who pretend to be anti-war until they get into office.
