    Because my lineage came to this country long after the slavery. And none of my blood line ever owned a slave..

    How will reparation be fairly levied? Should I and other dependents be fined, pay restitution for something that had nothing to do with? How about we just fine the people that were chiefly responsible for slavery.

    That’s what I said too. We agree. The left has taken some extreme rhetoric here to evade discussing the vile evil that is their “debate” tactics being called out by the Virginia delegate. Calling others racist and other names merely for disagreeing with them on policy issues is outright evil.

    They keep saying we do it too and yet when questioned offer no proof or quotes of it being done by any elected Republicans in debate with democrats over a given issue. They really hate that he/we are calling them out on the OP topic.

    Of course it is a desire for revenge against people having nothing to do with either slavery or Jim Crow. One that will never be satisfied. Now remember that the topic is being civil and showing comity in debate and discussion and refraining from calling people we disagree with on ideas and policies ridiculous names like racist, bigot, sexist, etc.

    The problem with prisoners is if you let them go, they will re constitute and attack again. So if you keep them you have to feed them. That is “resource heavy”. If you kill them that is frowned upon, so you sell them. It’s a win-win. Death vs slavery. Not our fault. It was normal practice back then. Then there was Django…
