All over the country. The Democrat's hard left agenda is not being received well.

Yeah I know, the Democrat base turned out but they lost the independents and moderates.

"The biggest shift was among independents, a group that President Biden won last year by 19 percentage points but that Youngkin won by 9."
    https://www.npr.org/2021/11/03/1051...well-in-the-virginia-and-new-jersey-elections

That's a 28 point swing, that is HUGE.

It was a STUNNING upset of a supposed shoe-in candidate. And not even bringing in all the big guns an embarrassment.

He didn't distance himself from Trump. He just didn't let himself get baited into making Trump the issue.

Ok well that is my point actually. Would Trump stump for candidate in NYC. Or Delaware? Or Virginia?

Characterizing this as an "Upset, when every poll in the Final weekend had Youngkin winning, is a bit of an overreach.

But, in terms of where the race sat 6 months ago, it could be viewed that way.

However, a lot changed in those 6 months.
And, by Election Day, a Youngkin Win was Expected.

Referring to this race as an "upset" is like referring to Trump's Win in the 2016 S. Carolina Primary as an "Upset".

Because, 6 months earlier Jeb Bush had a big lead.

But yeah--IF it makes one feel better to refer to an Expected Result as an "Upset", I really don't care.
    Whatever makes them happy.

This wasn’t expected. McAuliffe had a solid lead until he screwed up the issue of parental Involvement in education. Norther Virginia was supposed to give McAuliffe the win. Youngkin did better than expected in several heavy blue counties.

By all measures it was an upset win.

YES Youngkin BEAT McAuliffe in an UPSET overtaking him in the final days to win.

That is how it is viewed he was never supposed to win.

yes, but the reverse was not true and Trump did not run with it, did not become a thing in the election, thus did not get the dem vote out

Yes the Youngkin win was an upset. The left will try to downplay it along with the other surprises across the country.

McAuliffe’s decline started when he fumbled the issue of parental involvement in education. Youngkin pounced on that one and changed the race. Plus he didn’t allow the Democrats focus on Trump and race get him off message. He stayed with the local issues which effects everyone’s life.

The Dems had a couple of minor wins. The Democrats hard left agenda is being rejected even in extremely liberal cities. But being the hard partisan Democrat you are, you’re free to spin things any way you want.

That may be the biggest swing I've seen.

    28 points in 10 months.

And dems remain tone deaf to working Americans.

    Trumps coming.

You can't stop it but baby steps, learn what you can now about Tuesday.

Honestly lefty media, politicians, etc are all over the place but they haven't been able to admit that is isn't working for them.

Like I said, you can spin current events any way you want, even while your party is imploding.

Winning elections in blue states isn’t just minor wins. This is a sign that their message isn’t being rejected.

As far as Biden goes, his status with the American people has been in a steady decline since his first day in office.

The Republicans don’t have a hard right agenda.

Biden didn’t win because the Republican message is being rejected. Biden didn’t win because people liked his message or the Democrats message. He won because he wasn’t Trump.

Now people are seeing that Biden is an extremely weak leader and the Democrats push to the hard left is hurting them.

Biden win because the media put voters into hysterics with false narratives.
