Joe McCarthy and his homosexual right wing apprentice, future Donald J. Trump advocate, Roy Cohn: "Have you no decency?"

The Regan administration FCC elimination of the 38 year old FCC fairness doctrine.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FCC_fairness_doctrine

A change that led directly to this reaffirmation of Republican sponsored efforts to increase the partisanship and destroy decency:

How proud the Republicans must be of their still ringing endorsement of the first US President in history to have had three wives with our wonderful Flotus so outstandingly decent:

The Trump appointed Federal Judge ruling that Ky's Constitutional requirement for nonpartisan judicial elections violates the US Constitution:

    https://www.courthousenews.com/judicial-election-rules-loosened-in-kentucky/

The party of dirty tricks - a well earned reputation.

I welcome the other side to debate this and provide examples of where Democrat Administrations or Legislators have so obviously acted to destroy decency in US society. Mind you, BLM, Black Panthers, the SLA from the 70s don't count. I'm not asking about the left and I'm not calling out the right. I'm asking about the actions of the actual elected officials. Surely some of our devout Rs here can reference something wholly indecent from Jimmy Carter's administration at the very least? Ah, the Clinton blowjob! There certainly is that! Poor Monica....

Oh lord, look at that on the lower right side of the cover:

Sadly, that's more lucid than anything I'm expecting from the Trump side.

Certainly more amusing than I was expecting, not so sure about the lucidity of it.

I actually have a real life buddy of mine that believes Michelle is a shemale, not kidding around, straight-up seriously believes this non-sense. Rex said it best, F'g Moron(s).

Lol. Yeah, that was my point.

I have family members that make things up in their head. About everybody. It's actually quite harmful behavior, but that's another subject. Now, I pause at tying this to the fact that they also support Trump - I mean, odd people surely span the political spectrum - but I can't ignore the similarities between them and Trump when it comes to made-up ****.

Bro are you serious right now? I could go into a list of things the democrats have done that are awful. Ranging from giving tens of billions of dollars to Iran, destabilizing the Middle East all the way to affirmative action and all of your other racist legislation the democrats have put into place.

But hell let’s just talk about what the democrats are considering doing THIS year that’s stupid and detrimental in an effort to destroy our system.

They want to force critical race theory and intersectionality on children at schools.

They want to tax UNRECOGNIZED income. Meaning if your stocks went up by $30,000 this year but you don’t sell them they want to tax you on the unrecognized profit but if you don’t sell and your stocks go down by $40k and you’re now at a loss, you don’t get that money back. That ALONE will completely destroy our economy.

Men get to compete with women and enter their bathrooms and locker rooms and other places where they undress simply by claiming to be a woman trapped in a man’s body.

Democrats are attempting a complete overhaul of the election system in order to institute their policies which have been called into questions by the courts as being recognized as easily defrauded.

They want to create DC and Puerto Rico as states for the SOLE reason to carry the electoral college every year.

They’re attempting to expand the court because they don’t like that it’s not currently controlled by them.

I could go on and on.

Please spare me your faux outrage.

She's hot but I've had hotter. My taste runs toward petite, and I'm not attracted to squinty eyes.

Melania has aged very well; I will give her that. Jennifer Connelly 20 years ago was stunning. She hasn't fared as well as Melania.

Thats fair. Everyone has different tastes. But for these people to mock her looks while they drooled over that gorilla man we had as our last flotus before her is just dishonesty of the highest order.

I don’t think anyone could look at Michelle and Melania while being honest and not say that Melania is objectively and factually far more attractive. I literally don’t think anyone on the planet would pay Michelle money to see her naked. Unless maybe they were trying to check for a penis or something.

You could improve this post without the gorilla reference.

I didn't get the edit in time. This is my idea of hot.

Stunning eyes and the subtle half-grin is sexy. Blondes are great, but black hair and green eyes is the most sultry combination on god's green earth, in my book.

The subject of the thread is the Republican party's contribution to the destruction of decency in US culture, so, thanks for your support of my premise.

I'm not your bro. I'm not asking for a list of Democratic positions that Republicans disagree with.

Returning the seized Iranian funds plus interest was chump change in terms of our Federal budget. There was really no need to do it in my opinion and in fact I disagree with the decision to have done it. However, it represents zippo, zilch, nada, sweet-f-all of you providing an example of the Ds supporting a policy that explicitly serves to undermine decency and bipartisanship in our internal politics: as do all of your other examples. But you might have some success with your beef about trans women. Start with Caitlyn Jenner why don't you?

You could go on and on and very likely epically fail to provide appropriate complaints of D administrative or legislative actions such as the R ones I listed in the OP that have served to undermine basic decency in our political culture and even of course therefore in our popular culture.

Mccarthy has been proven correct and the fairness doctrine was a contradiction and violation of the first amendment.

Nothing indecent about them. Having three wives is irrelevant after clinton.

    My apologies for playing along.

I'm trying to play devil's advocate, and I'm coming up blank. The closest I can get is Hunter Biden. If Melania is fair game, than Hunter is as well...or not. (I'm thinking not, but I'm trying to be useful here.)

How was Rush Limbaugh indecent? One could also say getting rid of the Fairness Doctrine led to this:

Hollywood has done more to destroy decency than talk radio.

Oh well there are a lot of other things I was going to refer to you as but I’d catch a ban so I just went with bro. I should have known you couldn’t even handle that without melting a little.

Your examples were McCarthyism, the FCC fair trade ruling and I guess our president having 3 wives one being an incredibly hot supermodel? As well as trump making it a rule that judges had to disclose their party affiliations so they couldn’t pretend to be non-partisan.

Okay I really don’t think that supports your position of a decrease in decency any more so than my mine did. But since you want to talk about decency which I assume is the degeneration of moral standards let’s go there.

The democrats are responsible for the degradation of the black family. They provide incentives through welfare, food stamps and government assistance to parents who are NOT with their partners more so than they do for those are with them. They incentivize poor women to have as many children as possible and use them as paychecks from the government which is where the term food stamp babies comes from.

Democrats are responsible for removing ANY semblance of religion from government purview. An action which by any historical measure has ALWAYS resulted in a degradation of morality as more people turn towards an atheistic world view.

They’ve passed legislation which makes it a crime to refer to someone with an incorrect pronoun.

They consistently breed division by harping on race and white supremacy and white privilege and institute laws predicated upon those ideals which are INHERENTLY racist and divisive.

They pit the poor against the rich by saying we need redistribution of wealth and codify it into law further flaming division.

The ENTIRETY of their platform is predicated upon racism and a non-white vs white mentality. They obfuscate this blatant and unapologetic racism with terms like majority, minority, socially and economically disadvantaged and the like and then codify that racism into law.

You kinda lost me on this one CC. I think maybe the best examples of Ds contributing to a decline of decency would maybe be JFK and BC with their now well established extra-marital affairs and excursions. Meh, even my OP went further than I give a s about regarding love and marriage and the sexual proclivities of Presidents or really even young male child molesting former Speakers of the House.

What I am curious about is to see if any diehard PF Rs can offer some examples of active D administrative or legislative actions that have served to increase division in our internal politics by relaxing or eliminating extant policies as the Rs did with the elimination of the FCC fairness doctrine.

I was playing off your mention of Melania's professional escapades. The two aren't very comparable as choosing a wife and raising a son are different things. I don't care about a president's personal life either, and we'd be better served if we allowed private lives to remain private. It won't happen because of the economic and political pressures in revealing dirt, but that is one area of decency we could surely improve on.

    :roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

Why am I profoundly unsurprised that you have chosen to pursue a line of reasoning about the descendants of our dear black brothers and sisters stolen from Africa and the Caribbean, built up to 40% of the total population in our Southern States and then offering that as a completely irrelevant example of the Ds pursuing an agenda in the 20th Century that offers any similar example to the R examples I mention in the OP.

A shame that duels are no longer in fashion - isn't it?
