Thought we were talking about the human being. People and their qualities or lack thereof.
What obama has in place for the economy is working well. Had been since about 2011 or so.

So you give no credit to Trump at all for the economy and think the Tax break had nothing to do with it?

Can I have your tax refund then?

    Show me the data.
The tax cuts only took effect a few months ago.

The economy has been up and up for years now.

No it hasn't show me the data that proves it was Obama, because we all know Obama did nothing. You're grapsing because you can't stand the fact you owe Trump anything.

    Send me your tax rebate.

If you like the economy since 2011 then give the credit to Ben "Helicopter' Bernanke and Janet Yellen, both past-Chairpersons of the Federal Reserve System. The Fed completely took over the economy of the United States beginning in roughly August 2007. Obama was really nothing more than an obedient 'house pet' who ran the Libocrat Welfare Circus for them. In fairness, that also perfectly describes the conduct toward the Fed by George W. Bush, too!

Obama has never held a real job involving the 'real-world' economy, in his entire life... it is doubtful that he has ever known anything of substance about "economies" except that, in his political philosophy, the government is supposed to provide all the 'downtrodden' with unending subsistence welfare handouts.

What you can, perhaps, give Donald Trump credit for, is lowering taxes for everyone (yes, and that does include the 'icky' rich people, too). How successful are these tax cuts? We honestly don't know yet....

But as far as "the human being. People and their qualities or lack thereof"... in contrasting Trump with Hillary? Well, Trump obviously never went to 'charm school', but Hillary was pretty easy to see for what she was -- ignorant, reckless, doctrinaire, criminal, and STOOPID....

I can't show you. You have to show yourself.
Look at just the stock market from 09 to 16. That is a good indicator for most economists on growth.

I'll give credit to who deserves it.
If it's the fed reserve, then why isn't it the case today? Did the Fed Res give up in 2017?

No, Dairy, the 'Fed Res' gave up nothing in 2017. They are still the sole architects of what amounts to a "planned economy"... not so different at the "100,000-foot level" from the overall method used by Communist countries back in the day. So far, the Fed is still 'pulling rabbits out of hats' using their magic tricks. But, as we all know by now, staging a 'planned economy' didn't work so well for the old Soviet Union. And China? Ha! Today they are 'communist' in name only....

Again, only the Fed controls the money supply, and is the sole determiner of interest rates. By its actions and inactions, it still picks 'winners and losers', and protects those that it thinks are 'too big to fail'.... It and all central banks throughout "the West" manipulate everything of economic significance in all Western economies -- for better or for worse.

Ex-Republican. Was a Republican ever since I could vote in 1974 until, to paraphrase Reagan, the Republican party left me. I started declaring myself an Independent and small "L" libertarian around 2012 although I felt the RNC (no longer the GOP) stopped representing me as early as 1996.

I'm with you on this, Max. The Republican Party "left me", too, and I became Unaffiliated last July. I've got almost as little in common with RINOs as I do with rabid, radical Democrats....

BTW, I worked in Reagan's unsuccessful presidential primary campaign in 1976. We lost, of course, but it was WONDERFUL!

You know most democrats are Christian right? And banning a few cake makers from being jerks to gay people isn't persecution.

Then we agree, how the economy performs is MOSTLY not controlled by any Prez.

I can't say I ever registered as either party. It was so long ago, I only remember Independent.
But I grew up in a family that was D, because as I was always told, they were for the working person. Which used to be true. They supported unions, which grew the middle class.
Since the unions became as corrupt as any other man run institution and shrank as a result, the middle class has shrunk with it.

Both sides of my family in Texas were Democrats. I don't think we even knew anyone who was a Republican. I was a liberal Democrat myself during teenage years. But, shortly after I had to go to work to put myself through college, and support myself fully, I became an increasingly conservative Republican. To paraphrase Obama, I "evolved"....

Today, in many respects, Donald Trump more-or-less stands for what I still hope for in America. But, in general, neither major political party represents me or gives a damn what I want....
