Republican running to challenge Rep. Ilhan Omar has Twitter account permanently suspended

As much as righties love people like Steve King who hates America.

 

A call for a lynching and a call for incarceration should be held to different standards.

 

Lynching is illegal. The state executing people for treason after finding them guilty is not. Care to try and compare things that are actually similar instead of building strawmen?

 

King is a racist just like Omar, but I don’t think he hates America “as a country”.

Mmm - for starters, I'm not ON twitter, neither do I want to be so I wouldn't even know where to begin when it comes to reporting them.

Also, I believe his tweets - and anyone else's for that matter, should stay up. It is my firm belief that racists - as well as intellectual bigots such as our famed Hollywood Half-Wits - should be fully allowed to post anything they want. It makes it so much easier to identify them for what they really are. I *WANT* Illhan Omar to rant about the Jews. I *WANT* people to know that this Jack character wants kids he disagrees with thrown into wood chippers. I *WANT* people to know that Depp wishes death upon Trump. I want all of this out in the open. If we follow the logic of the OP to it's logical conclusion, I'm a complete believer in letting everyone have enough Freedom of Speech to hang their reputations and careers with. There's actually been a number of posts made by people I disagree with on this very forum that I would never report to the mods (especially when they violate a number of rules) because I want them up for everyone to see. I want the board to see who represents the LW. And the same goes for the Glitterati.

 

Maybe twitter should be banned. That would save us all a lot of headaches.

On the flip side, a number of people have lost their jobs for saying something which goes against leftist thinking, Ditka got in trouble when he said Kapernick should find another country to live in if he hates this one so much.

If you dont, let me be clear: Pretending that this Minnesota candidate was reference the very specific situation where a Minnesota congresswoman was arrested for treason by the State of New Hampshire or Washington, and then sentenced to a type of death penalty never used, is a strawman of her tweet.

If anyone asks me to identify someone who hates this country, I'd go for the low hanging fruit and start with the people who kneel for the anthem, burn the our flag, won't say the pledge and call our anthem a racist song. Can you think of any particular groups of people who might do and/or approve of that?

I believe the tweet was meant to expose treasonous intent. The 'hung' bit was dramatic flair. 'Tried and lethally injected' just doesnt have any ring to it.

Would the tweet have still been 'calling for violence' iyo if it had instead been worded: 'tried and lethally injected'?

 

...probably? I mean she would still be accusing a US congresswoman, without rational reason, a traitor to the country who deserves death.
