Republicans are smart and provide most of the food you eat.

I am a conservative. I went to college. My mom and dad went to college and they are very smart people. They are also conservatives. Republicans are just as educated and many Republicans own farms that feed America. A degree means nothing if you can't eat.

Most farmers don't need a degree to grow corn anyways. The big cities are where the colleges and universities are but that does not mean liberals are more educated just because they practically live by these places. How many of the violent protesters blocking streets have a college degree? How many college students protesting Trump are actually smart? I went to college and you don't have to be smart to get a degree. You just have to work hard for what you want. I was on the Dean's List and I am not in my opinion a very smart person. I just worked hard for what I wanted just like my father did to provide for my family. Farmers do the same thing so that most American's have food to put on the dinner table.

I also know many people with degrees that did nothing with them so just because you have a higher education does not mean you contribute much to America or use it to better your life. People going out into the field every day to grow and harvest corn or beans is contributing just as much if not more then most with an education. I live in Iowa and most of the farms in Iowa had a Trump sign so I can say they are conservative farmers. How does a liberal with an education in Portland, Oregon contribute more than a farmer of Iowa?

This whole thing about liberals being more educated then Republicans is just stupid. Now I know the OP never said this but many on the left do say liberals are more educated as if they are better than us. What are the big cities of Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago or Portland, Oregon going to do if states like Iowa were to stop feeding them?

IOWA does a lot for America and is very conservative with the exception of the one big city Des Moines. Without Iowa or Republicans many liberals would starve. So again an education means nothing if you can't eat.

The OP said Liberals are compassionate. Maybe some are but not most of them as the OP claims.

How can most liberals be compassionate when they are ok with murdering babies less than 10 days before they are born or do nothing to stop the violent protests that has left at least 1 man dead? Many liberals were calling for the death of Trump and Snoop Dogg and Bow Wow wanted to Pimp out Melania. Where is the evidence that supports the claim most liberals are compassionate? Republican Conservatives in my opinion are much nicer to talk to and are pro life meaning every life including babies matter to us.

Republicans also have a lot of christians and as a christian I can say my church has done a lot for the community including providing clothes and diapers for poor people that can't afford them. So to say Liberals or Democrats are better then Republicans in any way is just stupid.

The left likes to think they are the smarter and better side in America but that is a lie. We do a lot for America. I am proud to be a conservative.

 

I grew up in Iowa raising Angus cattle and mixed breed hogs. Learned about work.

 

I know and it is sad. I have an uncle that farms and I have a lot of friends that are farmers and they provide a lot of food. Iowa is one of the biggest food producers in the country in my opinion. Without Iowan conservative farmers many would starve.

I also remember hearing China buys corn from Iowa. If that is true then Iowan conservative farmers are feeding the world.

 

You can learn a lot from farming that a college degree can't teach you.

Corn is a cash crop more than a food crop, I think, unless you consider animal feed to be a food crop. It's used for so many things, though, including of course sweetening junkfoods that are contributing to our obesity epidemic. Thanks, I guess.

That's true you didn't explicitly state that but you did give a bunch of facts about Iowa so I did make an assumption sorry about that. I already gave you information on how California is the number one agricultural producer in the country so I'm not sure why that question even comes up. Well it certainly isn't required obviously I think you'd be surprised at how many farmers go to college. Supporting Trump well that's an individual thing personally I was raised better than that.

 

A lot of California did vote for Trump by the way hence the red counties. Most of those voters are probably farmers as liberals take over the big cities. So again it's Republicans feeding America and not liberals.

 

I know there is classes for agriculture at college and yes California is a big producer but not all of California is liberal. The counties that voted for Trump are more rural and probably full of farmers. I doubt there is a lot of liberal farmers in Los Angeles.

I gave facts about Iowa to show that Republicans do just as much if not more then liberal Democrats. There is no need to apologize. I make assumptions myself sometimes so I understand. It's all good discussion.

 

I never lied. I just posted my opinion and some facts to back it up. The point is Republicans are not as uneducated as the left claims and we do a lot for this country. I think it is fair to say both sides contribute to America and in my opinion it is the Republicans that do more of the contributing.

 

I do appreciate the bumps for this thread. I want everyone to see just how much Republicans really do for this country. We are needed just as much as anyone else and we are not a drain on this country. We are the ones that keep this country going. Liberals need food to eat and we provide it for them.

 

Well corn feeds many of the animals that is used as food so it is just as important as anything else grown for food.

 

Farmers are very conservative thats true. look at this was. do you know how big tractors were in the 1950s? Think how big they are today, a back door of demonstrating what is happening to farms. The farm my grandmother grew up on in central Minnesota is now part of a neighboring cousins farm. The farm stead my great uncle was in when I visited him is torn down years ago. Soon tractors will be robots. Farms get bigger, farmers leave for the big city and so it goes.

Hillary calling us deplorable does not bother me as much as the ones who say we are uneducated. I take that as they are saying we are all stupid or liberals are smarter than us. How do you expect to win over any of the 60+ million votes from the Republican party calling all of us stupid? That is what the left is doing.

The truth is we do a lot for this country and we work hard at it. My family is full of hard workers and 2 of my brothers served multiple tours in Iraq. I don't need the college degree I have to be smart or contribute to this country. The left can say what they want but we know what we do and provide for America and I am proud of it.

Scientists do a lot for this country. Everyone contributes. I just watched the movie "Hidden Figures" about the african gals in the 1960's that helped the NASA program launch a man into space. I know liberals and Democrats do contribute in some way or another but conservative Republicans also contribute and some people try to make it out like we are all stupid and don't do anything. That is not fair at all. We do alot too.
