What an abomination the Trump White House administration is.

Leaks, FBI investigations, Mueller investigations, Senate investigations, House of Representatives investigations, backstabbings, resignations, and threats of resignations. Trump hasn't reached bottom yet.

Now there are also rumblings of widespread Republican opposition to Trump as the GOP is dragged down the rabbit hole with Trump.

This prospective resignation of Tillerson will be a serious blow to Trump that he may not recover from. Each firing and resignation reflects badly on Trump and reduces the pool of respectable people prepared to work for Trump.

The fact that Tillerson either allowed the leak or allowed persons who are potential leakers to hear him calling Trump unprofessional is a bad omen for Trump that Tillerson has had enough of Trump wunderkind Kushner screwing up international politics.

Tillerson didn't want the job in the first place. His wife made him take it, thinking about the status of being SS. She's now probably too embarrassed to go out in public after seeing how trump operates.

Tillerson is also a Putin soup drinker. He is not going anywhere unless his uses have come to an end.

That said, unlike the rest of them, he's not incompetent.

There is little doubt that Tillerson's major personal objective was to get Russian sanctions to go away so that his former employer could finally begin cashing in on the deal that Tillerson made with the Russians. And the Russians are desperate for the foreign exchange so they can service their massive debt and halt the steady slide in the value of their foreign exchange.

He was a natural choice for Trump to make, and one that, I'm sure, was applauded in the Kremlin.

That said, Tillerson is a capable CEO who actually ran a global business, as opposed to the relatively rinky dink family operation that Trump has been running.

But with Congress getting ready to shove a Russia sanctions bill down Trump's throat, and a White House engulfed in infighting, petty feuding, and under the cloud of several self inflicted crisis, I suspect that Tillerson knows that he is wasting his time.

Trump is trying to bully Jeff Sessions into resigning. Sessions might just have enough cajones to stick around, which would be his best revenge on his all too disloyal boss.

Of course, if Trump does force Sessions out, the effect would be to cast a pall on the Republican Congressional leadership, particularly Mitch McConnell, who fought hard for the Session nomination.

Is the OP, an individual who complained when Tillerson was hired in the first place, angry that Tillerson may quit or happy that he may leave. We get very few clear signals from malcontents. I would think that if it is their belief the Trump administration were imploding, they would sit back with mouth closed and let it happen.

Before last week, Tillerson had strongly maintained he would see through his task of reorganizing the entire State Department after Trump’s March budget proposal laid out plans to cut $10 billion from its roughly $47 billion in funding. But that resolve seems to have dimmed.....snip~

This is a news story. That's why it is on the current events thread.

And no, I want his administration to implode and I will gladly post any and all news worthy events in celebration as they occur.

You must realize that this is news because we are talking about the Secretary of State, i.e. the 4th (?) person in line of succession for the Presidency, who is considering quitting because of how disloyal the President is towards one of his most staunchest supporters.

And this story comes at the same time as multiple reports regarding Trump floating the idea of firing Sessions and replacing Sessions with Rudy Giuliani or with Ted Cruz.

I'm going to guess that you made the same dismissal about a month ago when stories first started appearing about Sessions and Sean Spicer being pushed out.

I am happy for you and the band of malcontents that promote the hatred of anything Trump. I agree that Sessions and Tillerson should go. We need someone really conservative in those positions not half hearted weak individuals.

Am I supposed to believe that Tillerson would complain about Trump to the types of people who would blab to CNN?

Tillerson still needs a bit more time to do Putin's bidding......there is still more of the State Department to dismantle.

The President himself is not really conservative. The only requirement for a position under Trump is loyalty to Trump.
