Now THIS I can agree with. Not a single person in congress should get a fracking dime during this. You want to shut it down? Then YOU need to put your money where your mouth is.

I don't care for Scott but I've always held this sentiment. Politicians should be on the frontlines of lost wages when it comes to shutdowns. Their is not a single reason why they should continue to collect a check, especially when they already have more than most Americans. Don't cry about how this is hurting people when you're living comfortably with payed security, benefits, and a continuous stream of income. Only the idiots believe you.

 

Exactly. They want to shut it down, then they have to be the leaders, which means they give up their salaries first. And nearly all of them can easily afford to go without a check for a while, compared to lower level govt employees. Many could live multiple lifetimes on what they already have.
