Of course you can't...lol
The Republican party is led by Trump and has been for a long time.
His direction IS strongly focused on making democracy irrelevant - an assault on our very foundation as a nation.
That is NOT a platitude and it is NOT shared by Democratic leaders or potential leaders.
Was Trump the legitimately elected 45th president in the 2016 election, without question?
Were the Democrat Congress members that voted to decertify Trump's electoral votes in 2016 being unpatriotic and casting huge doubt upon our democratically elected representatives?
I'm considering analysis of their economic situation and their statements of objectives.
The lack of a strong and functional immigration system means that there can not be a clean line between legal and illegal immigration that sustains the need for that kind of labor in Italy.
It is the party who won the election in Italy that has fertility and immigration as the top two items on their agenda. And, the importance of immigrant labor to their economic is clear.
We DO have that problem, too. Our employment structure has moved in favor of those with at least some amount of college education. We in America have a significant gap in employment when it comes to our need for less educated labor and the number of people willing to do those jobs.
You can look this up. But, one can also recognize that minimum wages offered by employers have been increasing fairly rapidly, which IS what one expects when there is a product that is needed but is in short supply - standard economics. During COVID we have pretty much cut off immigration, and that is a contributing factor.
That's not a relevant issue.
Republicans, NOT Democrats are working to undermine democracy in the USA through several means, but probably most noticeably by having Republican leaders (especially but not only Trump) encouraging a total distrust of democracy.
mite not my fault todays youth is a bunch of lazy turds
I’ve been employed since 13 yes old. Most of these modern idiots don’t get a job until 30s
teens should be picking the fruit!
Oh, now questioning and election isn't a relevant issue...
You don't believe Trump was the legitimate president elected in 2016. That's why you're dodging the hell out of that question...lol
The 2016 issues was about the strongly biased nature of the US Electoral College. It was NOT led by the Democratic party and did NOT extend to promoting distrust of democracy in America.
What we see today is a constant and overall assault on democracy by the Republican party leadership, especially the Republican party leader, Trump. That has spread to methods of making it harder to vote for specific populations, empowering state leaders to discard ballots, to reduce representation through gerrymandering, etc. But, perhaps the largest effort is to simply cause people to distrust democracy in total.
Democracy REQUIRES trust of the people, leading to acceptance of outcomes that are not what each individual has voted for. Once that is lost, democracy WILL collapse.
And, we should have the girls churning butter after milking the cows.
Did you just wake up after a 50 year coma?
Trump and Republicans are NOT simply questioning an election.
They are assaulting democracy in general - rallying followers to believe that democracy can not be trusted, and that other means must be applied if elections don't meet their wishes.
They are targeting FUTURE elections and democracy in general.
The Democrats said Trump was an illegitimate and that Russia stole the election for Trump. Were they right?
How are they targeting future elections?
Start a thread.
That is TOTALLY irrelevant to the topic here.
I stated several ways they are undermining democracy a few posts back.
First, Trump and Republicans are convincing their followers that democracy can not be trusted. That is a direct assault on democracy, as democracy can not exist without the trust of the people.
Republicans are giving state leadership the right to throw out valid ballots. Obviously, that is a direct assault on democracy.
Republicans are working to make it harder to vote for people who live in regions where the Republican party might not win elections. There are a number of techniques used here.
Republicans are gerrymandering such that the people they hate get little or zero representation at the state level.
There are others, too.
If Trump was an illegitimate president and the Russians stole the election, can our electoral process be trusted?
Stacey Abrams still says the election was stolen from her and refuses to admit defeat. Do her supporters trust out electoral system?
Give us one example of republicans making it harder to vote.
Didn’t say I couldn’t, but I won’t be ordered around.
It's just a detailed explanation of rebuttals which merit a response, and those that don't.
In summary, anything better than a non argument, which could be anything from a wrong argument, or a weak argument on up, merits a response.
What is a non argument?
Rather than my typing out the list every time, I created a JPEG.
Non arguments get a boiler plated response.
That's what that is all about.
Most children are not sophisticated enough to grasp the nuance required to make that list, so no.
Inadequate rebuttal; no counter argument offered.
I just relayed the historical fact surrounding Trump leading up to jan 6.
No emotion at all. Reread the post, please.
Nothing Hillary ever said can compare to what Trump has said and done.
Are you one of those folks who think we're no longer allowed to question the government?
You don't have to say it. You just proved me right.
Trump led a coup attempt to overthrow the elected government culminating in the ransacking of our capitol on Jan. 6. Some died, 140 police were assaulted, the life of the vice-president was threatened, and the business of Congress was halted.
Trump said he would issue full pardons and a government apology to rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. “I am financially supporting people that are incredible and they were in my office actually two days ago, so they’re very much in my mind,” Trump said. “It’s a disgrace what they’ve done to them. What they’ve done to these people is disgraceful. I mean full pardons with an apology to many,” he told conservative radio host Wendy Bell on Thursday morning.
Members of his cult love that kind of talk. Trump is, after all, talking to them.
After his seven million vote defeat, Trump stole important documents from us.
"The expanded property list gives further detail of the volume of material seized by agents in the search and how it was intermingled with seemingly innocuous items such as newspaper clippings, photographs, books and clothing. It describes hundreds upon hundreds of U.S. government documents collected by investigators without any classification markings that were grouped in some cases with only a few documents that bore classification markings ranging from Confidential to Top Secret/SCI (Sensitive compartmented information)," ABC.
Trump and his followers are doing the bidding of our foreign adversaries by attacking the foundation of our democracy, free and fair elections. Trump and his misguided followers are still saying he won the election without ever producing evidence of such an outrageous lie.
It is entirely possible that Trump may be indicted for espionage, obstruction of justice, and/or sedition for Jan. 6.
Our President said recently, "There's no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the 'MAGA Republicans,' and that is a threat to this country."
CNN reports, "If Republicans take back the House in the November midterm elections, that would give them unilateral subpoena power,"
And all of this would be swept under the rug.
Is that what we want?
Is that what Republicans want?
Or do they want to be done with the Trump curse?
No I didn’t
I have, many, many times.
And people demonstrate patriotism by resisting his Seditious Conspiracy.
