I had coffee today with a Jew, a Muslim and four foreigners who don't give a toss about religion. It was particularly civilised. In comparison, you just hate.

 

Homelessness now becoming a problem in Sweden, which would have been unthinkable 20 years ago.

These aren't all foreigners. Plenty of younger Swedish people becoming homeless too.

 

How's their homelessness compared to neoliberal Britain?

 

Per capita? Relative to how much immigration they've taken in? Or in absolute terms?

Also I'd imagine this isn't a problem that hangs around very long since homeless people in that climate have a very short life expectancy.

Looks like Sweden has a slightly higher per capita homeless rate though, although considering how many immigrants they've taken in, they're doing pretty good relative to the U.K.

No small country can be expected to take in a sudden influx of tens of thousands of foreigners over a short period of time without it having a serious adverse impact on the infrastructures of health and hospital services, housing, and welfare. And when winter sets in, how will they be able to pay heating bills if they don't have jobs? Anyone thought of that?
