Just in time to derail his wife's certain indictment for cashing in on his Committee Chairmanship.

One can learn a lot about a person's character by the way they respond to the death of a fellow human being. Especially a respected civil rights icon.

One can learn alot about the character of a person, regardless of what he was decades before, who sets his wife up to sell "consulting services" to individuals who have business with his committee.

"George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama." --George Wallace on McCain

Lewis was a garbage person. We don't need to sing the praises of garbage people just because they died.

I didn't personally like him over the last year but I'm sure he was just doing what he thought best and for that I will not fault him for.

    R.I.P. Rep Cummings.

I don't mourn the passing of evil people.

It is a great day for America and Baltimore.

It is a sad day for china, iran, and the cartels for whom he served.

When a person dies, it is over. As far as I am concerned that includes any bad feelings I might have had about the person. He deserves respect for what he was and his friends' and relatives' grieving should not be .interrupted by hatred.

I am fairly sure I did not say all that very well, but what is past, is past. let it go.

I was wondering... what is the proper mourning period in our case?
I agree, mourning should be observed for the loved ones, he's gone to meet his Maker.

Personally, I wait until after a date for a service is set and published before I criticize a famous figure in a forum like this. At least you know the body is cold, loved ones have been informed and people who respect and admire him have had space to process, grieve, and say what they need without the attacks. . And I NEVER smear a person in a post in a RIP thread, let alone create one just to insult and degrade.

I will defend the same standard when Trump, Guiliani and Moscow Mitch die because I did for Roy Cohen and that was not an easy show of restraint on my part.

We don't have to act like jackals chewing at a carcass, just because this is happening in cyberspace.

You should first figure out what the Swamp is - prior to commenting.

Watch how Cummings' funeral will be turned into Trump bashing. The democrats can't help themselves.

No kiddin' you want to see disrespecting the deceased, they will loudly do exactly what you say. So much for the solemnity such a service deserves.

Really? You think that "he was just doing what he thought best"?

The guy brought a convicted perjurer (Michael Cohen) to testify before Congress, the same body to which he was convicted of perjuring, thereby defiling the majesty of the Capital, because he knew the guy was going to sully Trump in order to get a lighter sentence (i.e. less time in Club Fed).

And that's just one of many garbage things he did.

On what are you basing this presumption that he was doing what he thought best?

The swamp is mainly money grubbing democrats with a few republicans mixed in.

A classic example of why we need term limits.

A very simplistic and generally horrible definition of the Swamp. Sure the Swamp involves money - its a pay to play system - if you play - you get paid ... and almost everyone plays .. Red and Blue alike.

The swamp is certainly not only Red and Blue political elite .. it also consists of the bureaucratic elite - and the big money interests that influence these political animals.

Trump is part of the swamp - doing what ever he can for his backers ... such as one of the biggest players in the swamp - the Rothschild/Rockefeller consortia - the one's who bailed Carrot Top out of bankruptcy ... Wilbur Ross was the agent - working for the Rothschild entity that bailed Trump out .. and where is he now :)

In a hardcore quid pro quo move - Wilbur was made commerce secretary - but no one in the MSM seems to mention this.

Why ? because this consortia owns the MSM :)

Who's fighting China on trade? Trump. Who wants to secure our borders? Trump. No politician in the last 30 years wanted to do that.

Oh please. The Capitol isn't that majestic. And it sure has hell isn't pure. Far from it. I mean come on...hundreds of politicians and thousands of wannabe politicians and lawyers reside there.

We may disagree on what we think is best for the country but that doesn't mean that we don't want what is best.

We should be fighting China on Trade .. and securing the borders. This does not change one thing in my post.
