90 is a good amount of time but it still hurts a little seeing this one go. RIP

Sir Sean Connery has died at the age of 90, his family has said.

The Scottish actor was best known for his portrayal of James Bond, being the first to bring the role to the big screen and appearing in seven of the spy thrillers.

Sir Sean died overnight in his sleep, while in the Bahamas. It is understood he had been unwell for some time.

Normally I don't particularly care when an actor or actress dies since most of them are over-hyped compared to their actual level of talent; but there are a few that I regret their passing-on. Sean Connery is definitely among that group. There is his classic James Bond films, yes; but also so very many movies that he acted in as he continued to age and grow in his craft. Connery continued to grow as an actor. It was astonishing to watch.

My favorite was his delightful appearance in the last good Indiana Jones movie produced, 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'.

I have never been especially fond of Harrison Ford so I've never really watched that franchise other than bits and pieces here an there on TV. Several actors from that era just turn me off. Want to keep me from seeing a film, cast Harrison Ford, John Travolta, Nicholas Cage, Mel Gibson or Woody Harrelson in the lead. In the actress side, Meryl Streep tops the No-Thanks list

Of those listed, Woody Harrelson is my personal no-go actor. On the other hand I find Steep interesting because she becomes the person she is portraying. There is no way in hell that she remotely resembles Julia Child and yet when she portrayed the great chef she BECAME Child. It was almost spooky.
