    Dubai gets its first robot policeman

    Robocop can also transmit and communicate in six languages, including Arabic and English and more. It can also shake hands and offer a military salute.

    Good. Since most suburban police corps' job is primarly to give taxes presented as tickets without using their own judgement anymore, might as well replace them with robots and get the human factor totally out of it, getting ourselves rid of a thousand thousand parasites with a badge and fat working conditions in the process.

    see in Dubai they can have those robots, and if yah live in Dubai will chop off your hand if you steal, a heck of lot different then the usa that coddles their worse

    That robot looks inadequate for policing duty. What's it going to do if someone gives it trouble??? Wheels for feet? That bell-shaped bottom? How's it going to navigate steps?

    It will record you with his camera and call a human cop to chase you as it sends your photo out on an APB. One real possibility. Another is traffic control during power outages or special events.

    You mean the original one. Because this is the real one.

    IMO, the original was more of a cyborg than a robot.

    It was a cyborg. His brain, face, presumably tongue, possibly elements of his spinal column and lungs were retained. The ED-209 would actually have been the original robocop.
