My Avatar now shows myself and my daughters boyfriend and her son on a very unstable bridge. This gives more details. It is recommended if you go to Kauai, walk on the wild side. The view is worth it. http://www.kauai.com/hanapepe-swinging-bridge
Ok but fair notice--I thought this was going to be a thread about the best bridges in rock music so I might be back to hijack, derail, and otherwise totally infringe upon your space at some point In the meantime, neat bridge though if I saw it driving down the road I would slam on the brakes thinking two catapulters were about to have a battle to the death.
I called it rock and roll since when you walk down the bridge, it rocks and rolls. I posted a link to the bridge. The highway from Lihue is along the south side of Kauai. And as one gets very near the entrance up the volcano to the grand canyon, they can stop at the small village called Hanapepe. Park close to a store and walk along side towards the River. Be ready to fight off sea sickness if you have a weak stomach.
