I just watched both speeches and Romney's speech was a lot better.

Santorum talks in generalities and I like much of what he says.

But Romney talks in specifics and appears to have a plan to fix what's wrong with America.

Santorum's all over the place lately but Romney is talking about what matters right now, fixing the economy, lowering the deficit, lowering tax rates, repealing Obamacare, etc.

Romney looks and acts like a President, and the other candidates do not. I think that's a big factor even though it seems superficial.

WRONG..Image is everything..that's all we hear over and over..

He is better for a reason..he is practiced at doing this..just like newt does debates better..and Santorum rambles on about family better..

Romney just made up 15 pts and won by 3 in a 10 day period.
He has won 5 elections in a row..counting cpac..
That's after losing 3 states in a row.
When you aren't distracted by attacks on his wealth..his car..his dog and his taxes..and when you COMPARE HIM to the others on those same subjects ROMNEY comes out in front.
Santorum owns 6 properties..yet rips Romney on multiple homes.
Santorum rips Romney on abortion Flip..yet he did so himself.
Santorum rips Romney as a INSIDER ..yet HIS tax returns say he earned
$ 900,000 working in DC. as a Consultant.
Santorum rips Romney on his Cads..yet he drives an AUDI..

    SEE THE PATTERN ?
if they just stayed on jobs..Romney would have won this a long time ago.

Santorum said again tonight, you cant trust Romney..

After teaming up with Democrats to win at any cost..the deal is the same for Santorum x 4..

    TRUST ?
After he rips college education..contraceptives..women in combat ? :shh:

Both of them have their problems.......Romney is a corportist who would do more for his CEO buddies than for the American people.......and Santorum is a religious fanatic.

Mitt and his stance on the issues...

(These came from Mitt Romney himself and can be see in different interviews/debates)

    Economic Stimulus
Then - I have never supported the President's recovery act, the stimulus. No time, nowhere, no how.
Now - I think there is need for economic stimulus.

    Abortion
Then - I will preserve and protect a woman's right to choose.
Now - The right next step in the fight preserve the sanctity of life is to see Roe v Wade is overturned

    Principles
Then - Look I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I'm not trying to return to Reagan-Bush.
Now - The principles that Ronald Reagan espoused are as true today as they were when he spoke them.

    Consistency
Then - I think you'll find that I've been as consistent as human beings can be.
Now - If you're looking for someone whose never changed any positions, on any policies, then I'm not your guy.

    Immigration
Then - I don't think I've ever hired an illegal in my life.
Now (as in 3 minutes later) - We hired a lawn mowing company to mow our lawn. And they had illegal immigrants who were working there.

    Global Warming
Then - But I believe the world is getting warmer. I believe humans contribute to that.
Now - My view is that we don't know what's causing climate change on this planet.

    No New Taxes Pledge
Then - Mitt Romney stated he would not sign it
Now - Mitt Romney signed it - "I'm proud to be the only major candidate for President to sign the Tax pledge."

    Assault Weapons Ban
Then - I just signed a piece of legislation on extending the ban on certain assault weapons.
Now - I do not support any new legislation of an assault weapon ban nature.

    TARP
Then - TARP got paid back and it kept the financial system from collapsing.
Now - TARP ought to be ended.

    Auto Bailout
Then - I'm not willing to sit back and say "Too bad for Michigan", "Too bad for the car industry".
Now - That's exactly what I said...let Detroit go bankrupt.

    Blind Trusts
Then - The blind trust is an age-old ruse. You give a blind trust rules. You can say to a blind trust, don't invest in properties which would be in conflict of interest or where the seller might think they're going to get an advantage from me.
Now - First of all, my investments are not made by me. My investments for the last 10 years have been in a blind trust, managed by a trustee.

    Healthcare
Then - Well that's what we did in Massachusetts. And that is we put together an exchange and the presidents copying that idea. I'm glad to hear that.
Now - Obamacare is bad news and if I'm President of the United States I will repeal it.

Hmm...speaking of Healthcare...let's take a deeper look into that shall we??

PinkSlip is going to fix the economy? How? By firing everybody and re-hiring half of them back for less?
I personally want PinkSlip to get the nomination. Obama will be able to wipe the floor with him in a debate.

Your opinion doesn't matter. You are a left-wing extremist and your sort is a small minority in this country that will not decide this election.

Talking about the UAW I heard that Santorum's people had been calling people in Michigan telling them that Romney was against the auto bailout to get them to vote for Santorum (even though he also was against the auto bail out).

Is this what goes down as "Christian", "ethics", and "honesty' in the GOP nowadays?

That what happened there? Did Obama cut himself in for a nice fat bonus like PinkSlip routinely did? Obama fired everybody and hired them back at half price? You sure? If so...PinkSlip should be so proud of him huh?
