Again, you are just talking about people. When they become politicians they don't turn into Gollum, lol. I do think the benefits for politicians is a bit ridiculous so I do agree with you there.
Actually I think the kindest thing I can say about corrupt swamp rats in washington is that most of them wanted to serve the nation before getting there But the average shelf life of fidelity in washington is less than 12 years Sex, political power, money and attention cause them to grow atail and big ears
My employer gave all of us a $1500 bonus because of that tax cut and being a union company, he sure didn't have to.
My boss takes care of us as well but we are lucky. And honestly a one-time payment of 1500 isn't really that much. People should get raises. My boss told me I can earn as much as I want to work for. He was not kidding. Coolest owner I have worked for by far.
So, without Perot, we wouldn't have had Clinton. Then, without the scummy Clinton, we wouldn't have had an even scummier Trump.
And Bush juniors crew took a nest egg that was meant as a cushion for SS. Get the military budget in check then start bitching about my mother who is 70 years old, retired teacher, and a damned good one, getting a SS check that isn't covering it all. Debt? America owes a debt to those earners that paid in.
Buddy, look at the record. Clinton was a fantastic President. He also had sex with a pudgy intern in the oval office. He lied about it. So what? It harmed the nation how? Reminding it we are human and make mistakes? National security was not compromised because he had hot lovely relations with that plump intern.
Trump said he would fix healthcare, fast. He said he wouldn't cut taxes for rich folks, then turned around and gave 85% of the tax cut to people making $400,000. He promised to fix the economy. Real wages have gone up about 1% in two years. Trump hasn't changed the trajectory of this... There are brief periods where things look like they're improving a little--the second terms of Regan, Clinton, and Obama--but they always fall back. Trump hasn't changed the long-term trend because he hasn't done the big things we have to do to get sustained higher growth ... changing tax laws to get more private (and public) spending on infrastructure, R&D, and business investment, and worker training. As a society, we have to save more and put less into dead assets like residential housing and motor vehicles. I could go on. There's a long list of things we must do to get faster growth. All Trump has done is get a little extra growth at the end of a business cycle with a Keynesian tax cut that's driven the federal deficit from $500b to $1t. Federal tax revenue dropped while spending on entitlements and defense kept right on growing. The real GDP is growing about as fast as it did in 2014-2015. He made a new trade deal with Canada and Mexico that changes very little. It may not even be ratified. He appointed a few judges. BFD
@LangleyMan Don't mistake the SCOTUS appointments. Ruth Bader Ginsberg can make it to the next term, but if Trump wins that means a 6-3 conservative split for my lifetime. If Trump were somehow to lose, Ginsburg would resign immediately I think. Keep it 5-4 with Roberts a swing that is still a conservative.
Our economic problems aren't caused by the shift of low-pay manufacturing jobs to Mexico. Perot was wrong and so is the Orange Oaf.
I think its right on No doubt some of the professional public servant whashington crowd were swamp rats from Day One But I think most republicans at least were relative babes in the woods before getting to washington
That's what they say. Another four years of Bush (41) would have resulted in... No Jannett Reno's wall that forbidden intelligence and LE to share information on Al Qaeda. Osama bin Laden wouldn't have declared war on America (OBL first fatwa) No expansion of NATO which would have meant no Cold War ll. No Russia Russia Russia. No Vladimir Putin as President of Russia. No Bush (43) No women in combat. No buggery in the U.S. military. The Clinton's would never own a home.
No, he screwed up by deregulating banking, locking up minority men in the idiotic "war on drugs," just to name a few things. He's a case of arrested development. Do I care? Nope. But he hurt the party with his behavior. He probably put Bush in the White House. Doing what he did wasn't an oopsie. Who says it was?
Pretty fair on all counts, but banging an intern is an "oopsie". Trump grabs them by the pu**y on a regular basis, lol.
Your partisanship has really blinded you. Even I realize corruption transcends political party. Geeze, man.
We made crappy cars because we couldn't compete. Wages were too high. A bunch if nut-turners were making way more than the median wage.
