    Very sad to hear,
hopefully he can restore some of our international reputation, before its completely ruined by Tony Abbott and his political mistress, who don't know how to act overseas....
Maybe Rudd can find some place in the UN or such, far too bright for the domestic chicken (*)(*)(*)(*)....
    Regards

One more in the long line of labor mp's to throw down their tools and walk off the job. Rudd should be made to reimburse the commonwealth for the cost of the by-election!

LOLOLOL so typical of him. Just wow, what selfish/terrible timing he has. He had not enough guts to sit in the corner to hold his seat? I hope the by-election goes to the Libs.

Second worst PM ever behind JGillard as worst.

Offer me a life-time tax payer funded $600,000 asset free, eligibility free pension per year, and I will retire too. :roflol:

Pity he couldn't work well within the system. He's was probably the biggest closet socialist leader of either major party for 30 years. Personally, i think that's what undid him: an anti-union, pro worker, pro egalitarian couldn't keep anyone happy. Oh, that - and Murdoch. Apart from his attempt to filter the internet, i was largely in his camp. But i haven't voted for "him", or his party since my very first eligible election - when i pretty much did what the family did.

I haven't read his 'manifestos', only seen summaries so i may be off the mark. It's on my to do list.

No, good riddance to the human parasite. HE thought nothing of people, his actions after the insulation scheme and the following inquests showed exactly the type of person this piece of scum was. I stand by my previous comments that this supposed human being should never have been in a position of such magnitude and Australia should hang their heads in shame for supporting such a human parasite.

The hypocrisy of the ALP and their supporters are magnified when they stand back praise this thing, when just a few short weeks ago they wanted his blood. He stated he would run the term and now he quits at the applause of the party who wanted to rid them of his membership… it is just disgusting to see that those people were most likely standing in parliament applauding him thinking that they got their blood.

Sorry, just because he quit makes no difference, this man is scum… Australia is better for his departure…

And this has nothing to do with party, simply the man.

I think Gillard and Swann did more damage than anybody, it is only up from here.

Let us hope Rudd NEVER gets a position of such importance again, the world would be a far worse place than ever with such a scumbag in a position to promote the death of more people.
