It was assault. If you did that in the street you'd get arrested.

SA not looking too bad now. Decent win today despite all the fumbles, forward passes and penalties given away.
Held NZ to 2 tries in the group stage and at 23-13 pushed them harder than anyone so far.
I think it will be close against the Welsh.

Perfect start. 98 seconds, England try under the posts.

    England 19 - New Zealand 7.
The All Blacks never looked like winning.
We've beaten the best in the world and it wasn't even close.
Bring on the final, Wales or South Africa it doesn't matter. England have to be the favorites now.

Yes, it was a great victory by the whole England side, all 1-23 deserve credit for that, plus Fast Eddie and his staff.
I'd prefer Wales, I think, but it may well be SA. We can actually win this!!

I'm torn. Might be a better game against SA but beating Wales would feel good.
I predicted Wales but SA looked better in the QFs.
I don't really care. England made the All Blacks look ordinary today, they'll beat anyone now.

I hope it's not going to be the same kind of dull kicking game from them in the final. I would have preferred to play Wales in some good running rugby than watch that.

SA have always been like that. Hopefully we can move them around the park. We have to be able to stop the rolling maul, though.

Once we've got a couple of tries past them they will have to run with the ball rather than kicking possession away every time.
I think our forwards are more than capable of handling theirs and less likely to concede penalties.
My main worry is that it will be an unentertaining game in the full spotlight of the world.
I have the same confidence now as I had when we beat Australia for the title. Even during that really close match I never thought that they had the upperhand.

We don't know yet who's fit and who isn't. Heinz is out so Spencer on the bench, could be a problem. May wasn't 100% against NZ and was subbed. I don't know of anyone else. Oh, Farrell was hurt but played on, but didn't kick at goal.

    Great bronze match going on.
28 - 10 to the All Blacks at half time. 4 tries to Wales' 1.
This is going to be bad for SA morale, watching the team we dominated walk all over the team they scrapped a win against.

That was a bad match on several levels. We lost badly, we were never in it with a chance with endless scrum penalties. None of the England side played well. Then it was a boring game too, kick/scrum/lineout the old SA way to play.

Overall I thought the tournament was poor, too many one-sided games, Japan aside who did very well. The time zone was bad too, watching the games in the morning, then the weather and the cancelled games.

That's so PC Monte... you're such a good lefty soldier

no it's not...talent and ability is our strength, if the Boks were a true quotas team 50% of the team should have been black... which it is not. Clearly some negotiating went on behind the scenes.

Also... Affirmative casts doubts on people's abilities... because now you wonder whether the blacks in the team are there because they were better than anyone else... or whether they are merely filling the quota... you're not doing them any favours.

ok see these quotas I've posted above... that will destroy South African rugby the same way it destroyed all the State Owned enterprises, the sewage management, waste removal and water management.. pretty much the whole country

    prediction
South Africa will never win another world cup. 2019 is the last one

South Africa just smashed the favourites to win the World Cup. It was a brilliant performance, and this is your response. How desperately sad to be so consumed by bitterness & hatred.

Congratulations Springboks. A well deserved win.

oh please.. wrong as usual... this was my first response

I don't care how you spin it, quotas suck

btw clearly South Africa only needs 3/4's of a team to win :roflol:

Nah, I got it right. You can't put your hatred aside for even a few hours to appreciate a brilliant win.

You seem determined to prove my point. The whole team performed well, but you just can't bring yourself to acknowledge that. I almost pity you.

Let them play without quotas and Affirmative Action, then there's no doubt they earned their spot on that team. Except for Kolbe...he's just a god

(besides aren't blacks supposed to be better than whites at sport... why do they need this in the first place?)

Chester Williams wasn't white, he totally earned his place on the team waaaay back in 1995. These new rules are just another way they are screwing over white South Africans... as blacks mostly play soccer... strangely there's no quotas for soccer

Keep it up. Every post where you decide to talk about your pet racial obsessions rather than the Springboks crushing the favourites in a World Cup Final simply makes my point - you can't get over your own petty hatreds & prejudices to appreciate a great sporting moment.

What a terrible way to live your life.

Ok do you have anything other than personal attacks... probably not because that is the only thing you do on this site, smear...... you this and you blah blah that

respond to the issue (a life-changing event for you)

Do you believe quotas in sport is necessary... seeing that historically blacks perform better than whites in sport?

Why bring this in now... 26 years after the end of Apartheid and why not apply this across the board to all sports... why only apply this to "white" dominated sports?

You are not doing these black sportspeople a favour, they will have a cloud of doubt over them until quotas end

What is the true purpose of these quotas... seeing that there is persecution of whites ongoing in South Africa?
