So...can anyone around here explain to me why we're spending $10,000,000 on gender programs in Pakistan?

This bill has 5,593 pages to it. And it was released to everyone (including congress critters) just 2 hours before it was voted on.

Everyone is touting the $900 billion relief bill. Yet they are all failing to include everything in this bill when talking to the American People about it. And the only ones that are actually going to know what's in the bill are those that actually go through it themselves. And you can be damn sure that regular media will NOT be talking about 10 million dollars being spent on Pakistan's gender programs.

Now, I WAS going to actually give AOC a kudos for her twitter posting here: LINK: AOC Twitter Post However it appears that despite what she said in her twitter post she voted for the damn bill anyways. LINK: H.R. 133: Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 [Including Coronavirus Stimulus & Relief] So really I'm just using her as an example of talking outside both sides of her ass. Just like all the other politicians that voted for this. More than likely just to say "we support the people" because they sure as hell didn't actually read the damn bill.

And YES, criticism goes to every Republican that voted for it also.

 

What is a gender program? Is that some story hour the Democrats made up?

If you are born with a uterus, can have periods and babies and smaller bones you are female.

If you don't have these things you are a male. It's common sense. Why do we need a program to explain this to anyone?

Why would Republicans or Trump support this BS from the Democrats?

Hey women why not call yourselves Elliot page and claim you are male because everyone on the left will believe you...

Seems like a good argument for acting sooner next time. Senators and reps were forced to balance swift relief for the nation, which is way overdue, against waiting long enough to fully process and comprehend the monstrosity. I think we can all agree a system that forces this kind of thing is broken. If only we were less focused on playing "rah rah, my team versus yours," and more willing to vote for the best interest of the country rather than a party, we'd be able to start climbing out of this mess. I hope folks on both sides will consider that the next time they want to vote for someone solely because of the color of their uniform.

 

Just a bit of humor. But the reality is that yes they did (or their staff did) read the bill. They all know pork is the essence of any and all spending bill that will ever get past. They know this because they all will at some point put their own pork for their special interest into a spending bill that would never pass on it's own.

 

If Nancy had excepted Trumps 1.8 stimulus deal you would have more stimulus money and none of this gender stuff included.

The Democratic party is so lost I don't see them ever going back to down the middle moderate or normal. It's all about this stupid stuff.

 

Both parties messed this up but I put most of the blame on the Democrats. If they did not include this stupid stuff the bill probably would habe passed months ago.

Trumps 1.8 trillion stimulus was a million times better than what we got now.

Let's find out WTFornication a "gender" program is. Ok I am sure that once we find out I will still be against it. Our elected officials be they Democrats or Republican or the two make believe Independents should.neither vote for nor against this bill until and unless they know WTF it is.

There could be a bill called "Stop The Steal". Sounds like anti theft bill so people against crime may say "sign me up" I hate crime. Then of course let us say we read the bill and we find out that it is to prevent Trumpists
from committing a seditious act and overturning the legally run 2020 election.

So let us force our elected officials and us to understand what the bills are that come floating up. I really detest it when amendments which are not related to the main bill are added on to real bills. If we are asking our elected officials to vote on a defense appropriation bill I do not want to see funding for the study of the Frequency of fornication among Flemish Fleas.

 

I hate this pork bullsh*t and I hate every damn politician that pulls crap like this.

If only there was a way the American people could demand CLEAN BILLS ONLY.

This gender bullsh*t is not the only thing I'm unhappy about in this bill.

I would have to see exactly what was in Trump's 1.8 Trillion so called "stimulous" bill. My God I bet Trump's travesty contained money to give to Putin to fix Moskva's infrastructure.

Equal implies that he had as much to do as Nancy in blocking stimulus. She cried for months over 2.2 trillion dollars thus refusing to compromise even at 1.8-1.9 trillion dollars.

Republicans are urging Trump to veto the stimulus package and word is Trump is not happy with it.

PLEASE TRUMP VETO THIS STUPID BILL. ITS BS.

 

Everyone should research the insurrection act. This allows a president to send the national guard to cities in emergencies.

This bill would remove this act in support of the rioters and looters. We must veto this bill now.

So Democrats like pork Republicans like Filet Mignon but since Filet Mignon costs up to 10 times that of pork it equals out. I prefer beef even short ribs instead of spare ribs.

 

If Republicans want Trump to veto it, why in the hell did they go along with it in the first place? SMH.

The right has long pointed to the gender inequalities in Pakistan with young women being trapped in virtual slave marriages

Maybe this is a bill to address that? Maybe it is payback to Pakistan for letting the US use facilities?

 

It passed with a veto-proof majority. The only thing vetoing it will do is delay things. Folks said he'd try to burn stuff down on his way out. Vetoing the bill would further prove them right.
