This is one of the few times I agree with you. Nancy should not have flaunted the mask rule (as Trump shouldn't) and protesters on either side should be required to follow masking rules.

And yes Nancy, when I go to the salon and get my hair washed, colored and blown dry, I WEAR A MASK!

 

I don't understand things like this. I'm sure she could have paid someone to come to her home and avoided the whole double-standard issue.

 

That may have been illegal also. Salon workers are not typically licensed to work in home, I'm sure that depends on the state involved. There are more regulations for salon operators than one would think necessary.

 

I'm guessing Nancy could fix a fine or two million. The rules only apply to everybody else.

I'm not so riled up about the masking rule, though I think Pelosi looks better with a mask. I am against a masking mandate. I believe individuals should be allowed to make sound judgement. What riles me up is that it is mandated in San Fran that salons are shut down for us lowly citizens.....but accomodations are made for the elitist Nancy Pelosi......then she has the elitist attitude to blame a "setup" on the hired help. All the beauticians that have been put out of a job and salon owners have my concern. Even the salon owner where Nancy takes "privilege" says she will not be in business mch longer.

If this is one of the few times, Daniel, we agree, and if only in part......it gives me a little joy.

 

You guys do know Trump has infected hundreds? His events have resulted in dozens of SS agents getting sick, and hundreds of the participants.

So whatever we do to Pelosi, we should do a few hundred times to Trump.

Of course, if you want to throw in all the Covid deaths that happened because of Trump's failures, then it's over a hundred thousand...

Maine had a wedding recently in a town, Millinocket (just outside Baxter State Park, the end of the AT and one of my favorite places) that had not had a single case. There are now 143 cases, the death of a wife of a WW2 vet, and no sign the outbreak is under control.

Being outside helps a lot. But it doesn't stop transmission. Remember Sturgis? Some of the places those guys came from are now experiencing spikes.

In Sweden, citizens are allowed and encouraged to use their own judgment regarding mask wearing. The Swedish government treats their citizens as adults.

Here in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, citizens are told what to do, what clothes to wear and other things. Citizens in the US are treated like children, and those members of the Society of Mask Wearing Lemmings love to scold and scorn their fellow citizens not wearing.

No I'm not, I'm calling out political BS. You don't even know if the Trump guy tested positive but you insinuate he infected 140 people. For all you know all those folks might have been on the Mall in DC before they went to this isolated wedding.

This **** is killing Americans but not at the rate as to justify shutting down the whole country. I have had one person I knew die with it but he had other conditions as well. I know of two others who have had Covid and it was less than a summer cold and these folks are older, one is 92 the other in her 70's. Coronavirus will continue to run it's course regardless of who is in power or what their politics are. It's a virus, it isn't a Democrat or Republican.
