Soviets already bluffed once about nuclear thrust in aircraft:

    http://aviationweek.com/site-files/...loads/2014/10/1958- Soviet Nuclear Bomber.pdf

It was proved to be a hoax. No one know if status 6 really exists or whether Russians managed to build a nuclear reactor that could power a cruise missile.

Great so we can still nuke you into cinders 400 times over. And you can do the same to use 100 times over.
So this amounts to a drop in the bucket that is MAD.
Super scary brah, like triggering that wouldn't trigger a full scale nuclear exchange killing us all.

They have "Bluffed" many, many things over the years and still have outdated tech, rusted ships, leaky subs and little more than blueprint bravado. Trolling is the new Russian superweapon.

Yep. That's how they fight the new "Cold War" - by trying to paint the US as criminals and aggressors on the world stage, and by constantly putting out nonsense about alleged new Russian superweapons. It is all no doubt meant to impress Russian nationalists and foreigners alike. They want to be a big, intimidating bear, don't they? They have to do plenty of growling and posturing to pull that off.

If Russians managed to develop a uncleared powered thrust engine for a cruise missile, they’d make a killing by installing these engines on commercial aircraft or developing new civilian aircraft that would require no fuel for many years. Can you imagine the potential? Yet, nothing but cartoons from mother Russia, which leads me to believe that Pootin bluffed.

The sooner they depose that despot and start normalizing international relations and developing a real economy, the better.

Meanwhile, President Kleptocrook and his thieving pals are stealing from the Russian people. The U.S. isn't going to nuke Russia, even it could and there wouldn't be any retaliation. You could save your money and do something for the Russian people.

Actually our fleet, if at sea, will experience a little rise and be fine.

A Tsunami is no threat at sea.

Besides, a Tsunami has to start pretty far off the coast to be effective and we have alert systems for them so basically our whole fleet would have sailed before the Tsunami hit.

A physicist says blowing up nuclear weapons in the ocean to trigger tsunamis 'would be completely stupid'

I concur, Tsunami bomb = waste of a nuke.
    But hey, they have thousands.

That's not how proof works mate.

Disproof works that way, proof does not.

I would however suggest to you that the Russians have way more than just single bombs and the bombs they have are way larger than any you have ever tried.

Here is some video of an A bomb.
Make your own mind up, but they call it, a tsunami.

    Just for fun.

First vid - notice the clapboard at the beginning? The camera was 13,500 feet (almost 2 1/2 miles) from the blast, and barely twitched. Big-assed splash? Yes. Coast destroying tsunami? Not even close.

Second vid - absolute flat-earth grade bullshiite.

Agree - second video is a total BS. Looks like no one even looked at past underwater explosions testing there.

That's all well and good if Russia is the enemy, but contrary to the western MSM hysteria, there are no signs that Russia is nor ever will be?? To elucidate - an up-graded Trident system and brand-new shiny aircraft carriers will be no use against effing global Islamists will they! Why am I needing to point this out?

ever considered that they could just drive/sail this torpedo all the way in somebody his harbor/coast and blow it up there instead of trying to cause a tsunami ?
the torpedo is supposed to be able to cross oceans

Aircraft carriers are extremely useful for fighting global Islamists.

They have been used by the Americans daily for this purpose for the last 20 years.

    "Global".
The ability to project power around the globe.

I'm not a big fan of these carriers, but they tick all the boxes for what you are asking for.

The first one is detonated at 150 feet and is a small atomic bomb. 15 KT vs 2 MT discussed in that torpedo which can operate at depths of 1,000.

Consider that big splash, 1.250 times bigger, 6 times deeper.
Now consider that I have 4 torpedo tubes. And can fire pretty much keep up a constant fire of them until i run out, timing them all to go off simultaneously if required. So multiply that again by 25-50 for the number it could be carrying.

So, up to 60,000 times the power of that first video in one submarine.
Put like this, I think a tsunami is very credible myself.

Does your comment make sense? Or is it a random set of letters?

To defeat terrorism, it is enough to disband the CIA. And the terrorists will disappear.

And the US doesn’t claim that Christianity says anyone who dies in a war that the US is fighting immediately goes to heaven.

Ahh so disbanding the KGB is what ended Chechen terrorism.
