There could be a lot more than just abrams' tanks arriving in Poland. Attack helos, artillery, THAADs? Maybe?

Yeah Yeah Sis Boom Bah ... Lets beat our chests and Rah Rah Rah.

Nothing like ramping up the arms race to get the blood flowing !

Perhaps we and the Russians and Chinese should start putting nukes in space !
I would sleep much better at night knowing that instead of nukes being 30 minutes away ... they were over my head 30 seconds away.

    What a bunch of fools.

Sure ... With look on these "we hate the Euros" and "we should leave NATO" and their master in arms in White House who declared "NATO as obsolete", why should the US do this?

And honestly ... as smart as Russia declared this huge exercise to be a number of small one out of reason that then no OSCE observers have to come, it does not fear me at all and they shall make a training as big as they want ... their thing! So no, I don't rate this as a threat or so, simply because the NATO in Europe is even without the US strong enough for Russia ...

This is my response to Mandelus, and what I write come from a very knowledgeable and holy source, one known for his sanctity and accuracy... so I'm not joking.

Three nations will, but cease to be,
    because they thought so foolishly,
that quests for peace by Russia dear,
was but a ruse and said from fear.

Their men will rush to fight the bear,
with hopes for lands that they could share,
but death is what will come to be,
for home again they'll never see

I guess no one liked my verse huh? As for the contents I could say more. But look, it's only a prophecy, but they have been accurate until now... so people shouldn't take things lightly which might bring about their own destruction...

And talking about that, the man who saved the world died. Stanislav Petrov was an officer in the Soviet Union and his duty was to report any incoming missiles to his superiors. A few weeks before a S. Korean airliner had been shot down for flying into Soviet air space, so when the panel lit up that 5 missiles were coming towards them from the US, the officers he would have reported it to would certainly have ordered a snap retaliatory strike.

"All I had to do was to reach for the phone; to raise the direct line to our top commanders — but I couldn't move. I felt like I was sitting on a hot frying pan," Petrov said in an interview many years later.

Petrov based his snap decision on the fact that there were only 5 missiles launched, and that if the US was really to strike, it would have been hundreds... and he was right. It turned out to be a satellite glitch caused by the sun.

One little mistake is all that's needed.

    Thank you Stanislav Petrov. :applause:

    That's a huge discrepancy 12000 to 100 000... who's lying?

The video says the US troops are doing a routine swap, so not specifically there for the Russian exercises, however because it's what they refer to as "heel to toe" does this mean there are twice as many troops there currently than usual... as well as hardware?

Putin is playing his usual game of thrones and knows damn well not to step across his border into NATO territories. He did the Ukraine/Georgia thing but they did not have the big boys behind them. Article 5 is not something he would survive and he knows it, even with Krony Trump in his pocket.

And here folks is the news from the 'honest':roflol: news networks, spitting out their usual warmongering stuff against the Russian Federation, compliments of the always credible; Moon of Alabama.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NATO and its associated media used the occasion to launch a gigantic fear- and warmongering campaign against the Russian Federation. Over months hundreds of news pieces were weaved around dark murmurs from various NATO officials and "experts". Examples:

The Zapad 2017 maneuvers ended yesterday. They were exactly what Russia and Belarus had announced - a regular, medium-size training event with no special intent or effect.

NATO and its various spokesperson had done what they like to accuse Russia of. They
created fakenews about the maneuver based on nothing but hot air:

Let me explain myself. I freaked when Washington started the lies against Assad. I knew he was the most tolerant leader in the Middle East, and I knew Syrians who were so enthralled with the way he developed Syria that they were moving back. I also realized that the genocide against Christians by those we supported in Syria was not being reported in the MSM. This is when I realized that something was wrong with my government, and it was not the same country I was raised in.

When I would read the MSM, I noticed that instead of individual opinions, which would be normal, they were all giving the same spin. I tried Al Jazeera, and then they too seemed to have joined the club, so I began reading some credible sites like Moon of Alabama, Consortium News, New Eastern Outlook, etc. But for up to the minute news, I found the Russian sites the most informative an objective.

As for Ukraine, after what was done to Syria, I told my granddaughter to tell her friend in Ukraine not to go along with Maidan, and that they are being deceived. I was also reading a non aligned Greek news site, and noticed that they were getting reports from Ukraine and Crimea that went contrary to the propaganda fed the American people by the MSM.

Anyway in all the years that I have been following events, I found that everything said about Putin was an out and out lie, and Russia was only reacting to something we did first. The bear is harmless. We are the ones provoking it ... believe me. The more people are frightened in Eastern Europe, the more arms are bought from the military industrial complex.

I am also right about the provocations towards N. Korea, and that they are meant to hurt Russia and China. I thought though it was to threaten Russia's main export port at Vladisvostok by putting nuclear missiles in S. Korea, but according to a recent account, it might have to do with China and Russia going off the American dollar. Trump's insults might be to provoke Kim into starting a war, and getting both countries involved. I guess killing off brown people isn't enough, we have to add yellow ones as well. :wall:

Kim will not start a war, he's not stupid. When China said it will not support N. Korea if it strikes American territory, that put a stop to any ideas Kim might have. He shouldn't be answering Trump back though with insults, because the more fear mongering by Washington, the more of a chance of S. Korea wanting nuclear arms.

Everything now I think is up to Russian diplomacy, since Putin has good relations with both north and south Korea.

You're forgetting one thing Jake, Russia is not a Western country, it is a Eurasian country. Putin said good bye to the West with the coup in Ukraine. All 30% of the world's resources will now be China's gain.

I don't like Assad. Kim, Putin, Castro, (the dead and alive), Kaddafi, (when he was alive), or any dictator, period. I am not an adherent of the idea of the benevolent dictator. However, (wouldn't you know an "however" would have to show up) unless a direct threat to America, or American citizens, I'd let them be and not get involve with their petty tyrannies. People who put up with their dictators deserve them.

AS for news fake or real, I don't watch network, MSN, MSNBC, FOX, or local. It as all the same, evil is running wild, world wide, nationally, and locally, and all that can be done is for the so called "good" to wring their hands with anxiety and fear as they wonder out loud, "Oh, what can we do?". Nothing changes.

So when it comes to the news, what I hear is from just bits and pieces that I catch from blogs like this, talking to my neighbors, (there are a lot of Russian, Ukrainians, Polish, Bulgarians, and so forth that live in the area. Most hate Putin, including the Russians, none fear him because, like you said, they all believe they can defeat "the bear". I'm not so sure about that. Poland, with America and NATO's help might be able to, but the Ukrainians are hanging on for dear life, and the rest of the former Soviet block are still too poor and developing to be much of a threat. But pride is pride.

Now, it is sad to see you assert the old worn out leftist imperialist mentality about America. America is no more interested in killing purple zebras than it is killing any color anything, except may good red beef, for me, preferably a Porterhouse. Both South Korea and Japan can thank America for the prosperity they enjoy today. Nobody, other that India herself, employs more Indians than America, Mexico, that seems to have been born corrupt and remains corrupt to this day, is filled with thugs who kill each other as fast as they can so they can sell the drugs America's zombies crave; and without America to absorb the Mexican good people that only seek to live and raise a family and have barbecues and Happy Christmases, would probably be engaged in a bloody civil war, a war which they are at the door of now. Even the tourists areas are becoming unsafe. What has been done to Acapulco ought to be consider a crime against humanity. It is not America that is turning the world into a cesspool, it is the world's rejection of America's best values of Individual Rights, Capitalism, and a constitutional limited government, that is destroying them.

For the most part, other than the Western Democracies, the world's governments are run by tribal thugs who love to loot, rape, and butcher. Well, I hope they kill each other off, and as long as they leave Americans alone, I'd let them.

As for the middle east, flush it. Its a useless cause. Just walk away and let them bleed to death.

And lastly, no one has to provoke the sub human thing in North Korea known as Kim. He does fine all by himself. And if Russia and China want him for a flunky to use against us, well, good luck with that.

The world depends upon America, America depends upon no one.

    The bear has no claws
    It has no teeth,
    Just a big foul mouth
    And big smelly feet.

Too early to say. So far, as far as I am concerned, nothing good has come from getting rid of any of these dictators, and in every case, things have only gotten worse, or at best, remained the same.
