I'm hearing that Zelensky has declared martial law in Ukraine.

Don't you have to actually be in charge to do something like that?

Putin has been ruling Russia for 20 years. (Mostly by rigged elections.) He has turned Russia into a dictatorship and then went on a crusade to invade
    foreign countries. (Georgia, Ukraine.)

We, ''the west'', did everything we could, diplomacy-wise, to avoid this from happening.
(Not sure if all these sanctions have any effect.)

But... if a mad dictator with a giant army (and nuclear weapons at hand) wants to invade a foreign country there is little diplomacy can do to stop him.

A thousand days of talking won't persuade such a person to change his mind, because... such a person is bereft from all rationality. Mad. Insane.
    Remember Hitler...

This is where we are now. Again.

IT IS NOW TIME for the Russian people to stand up to Putin's madness. In the end they are the ones who can put a stop to Putin's dictatorial reign which now threatens the whole of Europe.
The Russian people are the owners of Russia. Russia belongs to them, not just one man.
Only the removal of Vladimir Putin can put a stop to this mad war he has just started.
A revolution in Russia must now happen. And quick.
If there are any democratic forces left in Russia they must rise up NOW.

Putin will not take Ukraine but neither should he still be in power when the battle is over.

It's preposterous how some people try to defend and rationalize Putin's behaviour. The man has provoked and started a completely unneccessary and illegal war out of geo-political interests and the desiree to establish Russia as a super power. Ukraine threatened to nuke Russia? Where does that nonsense come from. Donbas is still Ukrainian territory. Arguing that Putin is only saving ethnic Russians is part of his absurd narrative and constructed justification. Ukraine becoming a NATO member has been off the table for years, besides every country has the right to determine its foreign policy for itself, so Putin said. So much for his "peace mission". No surpise that the liar in the kremlin lied.

I can't help feeling that you need to brush up on Putin's habits. Does Crimea ring a bell?

The Ukraine is a carbon copy of "Operation TP Ajax" so either it's the non-democratically elected government in Kiyev and/or the American CIA who installed the puppet regime of the country who's "the bad guy". It ain't Russia.

Putin is using some very inflammatory language........... Must be for a reason. Or One might start to question his mental status ( His state of mind seems obsessed with past issues........ and saying that Ukraine did not have a right to exist.............. Red flags !!!!! .. This is more bizarre and concerning ........than first thought.

50%? Not so bad considering it's the "in your face" MSM who's pushing the muck. I thought the percentage was much worse than that.

No, not at all. My English comprehension is pretty good. Better than most. For example, the OP claims, "Russia Declares War on Ukraine". If you agree with that you might want to show me how you came to that conclusion. When we've sorted that out we can then proceed to the subject of being "badly misinformed".

I think he is an authoritarian putting on the kind of act he deems necessary to get people to go along with what he wants. But yeah, his mental state is also questionable considering the kind of large-scale, bloody conflict he is initiating over a big pile of lies and an apparent desire to capture some more economically and strategically useful Ukrainian territory, if not all of Ukraine. He ought to know better than to think that will go to plan and that he will be able to walk away with significant gains and keep them.

    Here's your reason

    8f383b69c17a77c2500e679c40270239.jpg

These guys are not just some fringe extremists. They are part of Ukraine's military and wield influence over the political levers. In short, the political 'leaders' in Ukraine are scared sh!tless of them. They putchists were all too happy to have these guys help them overthrow the elected government in 2014 and now the country is paralyzed because of them.

That's why there has been no implementation of the Minsk Accords over the last 7 years. The country is infected by extremists that have power, both politically and militarily.

Glory to Ukraine? Nah ...... they've driven the country over the cliff and the collective West has aided and abetted it.

Given the circumstances, de-Nazification is exactly the appropriate term.

US is full of hypocricy. For them it was fine to make intervention in Serbia and to bomb Belgrad. They broke the integrity of the souvereign state and made a precendent. No complains now, when Russia does the same with Ukraine.

To turn that around, if you feel it was wrong for the US to attack those countries, then you must condemn this attack and invasion.

you have a point. And each country "justifies" their actions..........and lest we forget the Iraq lies and invasion.

Both seem to be inebriated on military power.

However ... you, as a Ukrainian, can always sign up as a volunteer and go to war with the Russians.

Of course they can. For example, Europeans in protest may freeze to death without Russian gas. Or at least kill your industry by switching to expensive liquefied gas, which, by the way, is not enough.
But let's not limit ourselves to Europeans. The US can also participate in the economic blockade of Russia. For example, close all Boeing, Lockheed and other factories and stop buying titanium from Russians .....
And the Russians will starve.....wait,....they won't starve - Russian leaders in the sale of products on the world market.
But what if we close not only the Boning, Lrkheed plants .... but also refuse to supply and process nuclear fuel, which the Russians are now engaged in. Will we punish the Russians if we organize several destructions of American nuclear power plants?
