Sitting there in Deutschland, how do YOU know that Assad possesses and uses gas? Are you an advisor of his?

Chlorine isn't anything to worry about.

    Bleach + acid.

So you can't control it, and there is no reason to bother since it is bloody useless as a weapon.

Have someone throw some in your face, and then get back to me on how useless as a weapon it is.

    I already have.
    And I did.

    It's a useless weapon.
I wouldn't waste any time on it myself.

Me too. Having the gas sprayed in our faces, to a man in a platoon of about 40, it reduced us all to crying men and useless soldiers. I would say it worked very damn well as a weapon.

Maybe there are more things you don't know so much about.....?

    Chlorine gas?

We use CS gas on our guys in training.
We don't train with Chlorine gas at all I expect.

I could see how it might make your eyes sting. But, I don't get worked up about grown men crying.
I like my enemies dead, not in tears.

I've managed to kill things in far worse states than that. Your platoon sounds pathetic. Cry babies.
Go cry WMD. Boo hoo, my eye stings. My throat is sore.
    Nurse!

It's not surprising if Assad's loyalists and the Russians are busily trying to falsify evidence and blame Assad's chemical weapons attacks on us. That's always how it is with the Russians - no matter what they're accused of, they're never guilty, never accept responsibility, always deflect and make counter accusations. And sadly, it works well enough for them.

Trump also attempts it, but fails comically.

Everybody does it. It is what passes for political debate these days and in the past too.

    And it isn't comical.

It sounds like you're describing the actions of the US government, always proclaiming its innocence and devotion to justice and democracy, even as it summarily executes innocents by drone, and the bombing of hospitals.

It's like Richard Nixon is still in office--when the US does it, it's not illegal. Egads!

You don't know what you're talking abut it so stop. I think bleach is hypochloride? An oxygenated molecule of chlorine. Chlorine(elemental, gas form molecule with hydrogen) is DEFINITELY weaponizable. It is extremely caustic and can kill you quite easily..

On point, many many people never believed the official narrative, like me. Assad doesn't have a history of using bio warfare against his people. Why the HELL would he once he's in the international spotlight? I think it's far more likely whoever is pulling the strings, sees us as total morons. Obviously most of us seem to be, because we believe ANYTHING our government says.

It's ludicrous to think a man is stupid enough to launch weapons he never has before after the strongest nation's leader came out publicly warning him. You'd think of any other way. Plus chemical weapons have a horrible rapport in the public eye. Just use regular bombs if you're going to be a tyrant. The whole thing stinks of setup.

This totally. I've said as much in several threads but our leftists don't even have basic common sense to connect the extremely close dots together. It's stupid to suggest Assad did these gassings. He gains nothing.

I find it much much more likely that the so-called rebels did it to bring international condemnation against Assad and so the US could take off the gloves and get involved directly.

    So transparent.

We don't do such things knowingly. It's been known to happen by mistake, and unlike the damned Russians and pro-Assad Syrians, we acknowledge our mistakes.

Nice non-sequitur. I'm sorry you refuse to reason. You're what's wrong with politics and society today, just so you know.

This is boring and irrelevant. Let primitive butchers slaughter each other while I sip on my Makers Mark at my pool.
I support no military involvement in the middle east in any way except to defend Israel--and for the most part, Israel is doing nicely without my help. Middle East lives don't matter to me except to the extent that they benefit me or threaten me, otherwise, as far as I'm concern, only my life matters to me. The rest of you? Get on with your lives and stay the hell out of mine, unless you have something worthwhile to offer that will benefit me.

"The issue is whether man is to be regarded as a sacrificial animal. Any man of self-esteem will answer: “No.” Altruism says: “Yes.”--Ayn Rand

And this is what is being asked of Americans by our leaders: Sacrifice your future and fortune so dictators can rule world.

No that title belongs to you. I'm tired of the BS excuses made for the US. Oh, it was a mistake. We didn't know. Blah, blah.

You expect us to believe the most advanced and involved intelligence agency ever doesn't know what they're doing?

You are what's wrong. Take off the rose colored glasses and see the US for what it really is. The: "were good and bad we do is a mistake and everyone we dislike is evil and are liars" argument is tired. We're getting fed up with listening to it. I know I am.

Apparently we have the most effective propaganda machines, the greatest the world has ever known, or we have quite a few people in our population who are too stupid to recognize the propaganda as propaganda, based upon lies, deceit, and who have perpetual amnesia so as not to remember those extraordinary cases in the not too distant past, where intel lied to get us involved in breaking international law and invading sovereign nations who were of no threat to America. You need both really, the easy mark for the propaganda, and then perpetual amnesia so you cannot remember the past, the propaganda based upon intentional intel lies, which later on was revealed as lies.

Far too many americans are of the mindset that they could lose their banking account, to a con man, today in a walmart parking lot, to only return and fall for the same con game tomorrow, with the same con man doing the crime. Now, no one could ever be this stupid, or so most would say, and yet this is exactly what is happening with too far many of us. It looks absurd and ludicrous, even an impossibility and yet it continues on. I guess the con man in the walmart lot, was wearing a CIA t shirt? Those 3 letters seem to be a bit magical.

Exactly. Not only was there no direct evidence implicating Assad...there was no motive.
It makes zero sense that Assad would knowingly risk International condemnation/air strikes just to gas a small town.
This was obviously a false flag attack.

How long did it take for the pentagon brass to admit the truth regarding the death of Pat Tillman. Several months, as I recall. If not for the persistence of his mother Mary, they would never have told the truth.

If you're old enough, remember the Pentagon Papers and what they revealed--the purposeful withholding and distortion of facts. That is the Modus Operandi for almost the entire federal government.

Pardon me for jumping in unannounced, but I saw you folks are already discussing Syria, and I think something big or ugly is going to happen there any minute. Or what else could one make out of this short article by Voltaire?

The White House receives an Israeli delegation.
    The Agenda: Syria

An Israeli delegation will be received at the White House this week. The agenda: Syria.

The three members of the Israeli delegation are:
    • Yossi Cohen (photo), Head of Mossad (Foreign Intelligence);
    • General Herzl Halevi, Head of Aman (Military Intelligence); and
    • Colonel Zohar Palti, Head of Military and Political Affairs at the Ministry of Defense.

This delegation will meet with the following US representatives:
    • General H.R. McMaster, National Security Advisor;
    • Dina Powell, Vice National Security Advisor; and
    • Jason Greenblatt, The President’s representative for international negotiations.

Israël, which has already secured a prohibition on Iranian troops or troops from the Hezbollah being present in Southern Syria, intends to use this visit as an opportunity to present compelling grounds for closing down the Silk Route. Israel’s justification? Teheran could use this route to supply arms to the Hezbollah.

The three members of the Israeli delegation and Trump’s representative (Jason Greenblatt), all four of them are Jewish Orthodox. As for Dina Powell, she was involved in the assassination of Rafiq Hariri and planning the “Arab Springs”.

    http://www.voltairenet.org/article197530.html
    ------------
Aren't the Jewish Orthodox the good, bible-studying and war-fearing Jews?
But the head of Mossad? What could he have up his sleeve that requires involving his US buddies?
Does anyone of you have any idea or has heard more details?
I'm really curious, but in a bit fearful way.
