But you have? Sorry ... Don't come to me with honor and so on, because it is you who shows no honor to his fatherland, its democracy, its constitution and its values and it is you who pollute our fatherland with your Nazi thinking!

Psychologically feeling superior tends to represent covering up an inferiority complex.

Maybe they died "honorable" in combat when falling drunken from the watchtower in a concentration camp?

They had no way to produce twice as many FW-190 that early in the war and it's doubtful they had the ability to train that many pilots. Certainly there was confusion at the top, Göring for sure was detrimental and undermined efforts of people like Milch. Udet was over his head until he committed suicide. Some top officials tried to expand and put more priority on fighters, but resources were in demand from every sector. One place Hitler could have done more is to declare total war at the beginning. I recall armaments factories did not even run 24x7 for the first couple years. The ME-262 might have been operational sooner if Hitler put a priority on it from the beginning, even then, would the engines have been available sooner? As it happened, Germany didn't have the raw materials they needed to make quality engine blades and resulted in engines that needed overhaul after only a dozen hours. Then there is the fuel issue, Germany didn't have the fuel to keep the planes in the air much less for training, sure early in the war they were in better shape but once Hitler invaded the USSR, there went his main supplier.

The FW-190 could have been put into service much earlier and no, the pilots' training had not been an issue at the time. Certainly it was not only Hitler at the introduction of the FW-190, especially the leadership of the German Air Force, which failed here. However, this does not apply to the offensive interception. Here it was Hitler, who had already banned the offensive use of the UK ... by the way, also for the night fighters which made properly "havoc" at the Royal Ariforce.
As for the Me-262, the engines were not an issue. The delay goes back here mainly to Hitler. For example, as for the question of the landing gear, but above all, Hitler wanted to attack the Me-262 as a jag-bomb, not as a fighter plane ... which was insanity!

The tail dragging landing gear proved to cause problems taking off and seeing where the plane was going on the runway, so it was just part of the working out the bugs.

Maybe we could have interesting discussions in one of the groups on this forum more inclined to history. :)

    Why it's not my business?
Here in Krasnodar there is a building, Sedin street 34, with memorial plate. It says that German-Nazi occupants burned alive 300 people there in February 1943. When leaving Krasnodar.
Sondercommand 10a also used trucks - gas chambers. They caught people, put them in these trucks and while driving to their base, exhaust gas killed people inside.
Maybe that were your ancestors in this Sondercommand 10a? It's interesting.

Yep ... and this is because why the 3 leg gear was developed ... but some serious sources say till today that Hitler was against it, becuase "it is an American landing gear".

Sure ... but my main interest is mor ein Amored Warfare on the ground. ;-)

It was Hitler’s incompetence that lead to Germany’s defeat at Stalingrad, not Russian courage, nor Stalin's genius. Genius and courage are very rare in Russia. There have been few, but certainly not enough to free her from Authoritarianism.

Nazi troops probably wouldn't have surrendered if Western Allies hadn't tied them in France.

This thread makes me laugh :roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

I never knew I was a 'dark blond', haha. Brown is now dark blond, who knew!

This would be a great candidate for one of those DNA tests that show where your ancestors are from.

Aren't you German? If so, you need to know your place.

Not once, but twice weak minded Germans allowed fascism to destroy their own country resulting in global fighting, the deaths of millions, and contention that is still alive today as a result.

Your criticism of anybody else, Russian, American, or anybody else while reading your German text books that gloss over the why and how of the only two world wars our planet has ever seen.

Having a German lecture everybody else about why it matters is convenient.

Germans need to stop ****ing up every few decades... that would be great.

Actually, Bismark was the father of the modern welfare state, he embraced Socialism to defeat it.

This is the first comment based on fact that I've read while going through the list. Most posts differ from what scholars at places such as the US Army War College and the US Army Command and General Staff College lecture.
