1. Trump has repeatedly claimed the Mueller report cleared him of obstruction. But Mueller himself made a public statement citing the 11 serious examples of Trump acting in ways to obstruct Mueller's own investigation.
2. Trump has on several occasions said publicly that Democrats passed laws to allow abortion of already born babies. That's a TOTAL LIE. No laws in any state allow killing of born babies as an abortion.
3. The lies go on and on and on and on and on and on. . . . .ad infinitum.

 

It appears Trump has convinced you that the Mainstream Media can't be trusted. Our founding fathers regarded a free press as essential to the success & even survival of a free society. Of course, there are elements within that free press who are dishonest & tell lies for propaganda purposes, but you & I are expected to be intelligent enough to discern truth from fiction. I see articles & stories in the news media I regard as less than truthful every day, but I haven't abandoned my faith & confidence in our free press. They are crucial for protecting you & me from anyone who would take absolute control & rob us of our individual rights. Remember, it is highly typical for any leader with autocratic tendencies to thwart the confidence of the people in the press, & encourage them to listen to him only. These are characteristic of the behavior of Trump as a candidate & as President. I think Trump is an absolutist leader who wants more power & tries very hard to sink your faith & confidence in our mainstream news media. I say keep your faith in them & exercise your ability to tell truth from fiction as an individual American.

2) is true too. I saw what the Virginia Governor said.

So, given your evidence of him lying, I can see why people are fooled into believing the 10K lies lie.

1. The AG lied, & the Deputy AG cooperated with that lie, possibly thinking he'd be fired otherwise. Or, possibly both the AG & the D-AG have diverted their loyalty from the Constitution to Trump personally. I am convinced the AG has done so. The problem for the American people is that there are so many lies flying around Washington DC lately, no one can find the truth, & that's dangerous for us all.
2. The VA Governor does not speak for the nation or for all Democrats, or even most of us. I don't know exactly what he said, but I am familiar with the opposing media's practice of misquoting people or bending their statements in ways to make them appear extreme or counter to ethical standards. I DO know that no state in the country allows born babies to be "aborted" after birth, or even after removal from the womb & placed within an artificial surrogate mother. Once a fetus becomes capable of life outside the womb, even with technological help, it becomes a "baby" with full rights of citizenship. Killing it then would be murder in ANY STATE. Misquoting by the media, or misstatements by any public official doesn't change the facts. Additionally, NO DEMOCRAT or Pro-Choice supporter I've ever met supports abortion after birth or even abortion in the third trimester unless the life of the mother is at risk, or some crippling genetic defect is detected late in the pregnancy.
3. The 10,000+ lies was recorded & analyzed by an Internet company interested in studying ways public officials use or misuse the truth. Trump has broken all previous records for public use of untruths. You may support Trump because truth isn't a personal value to you. It is for me, & I hope for most American voters. But maybe most voters are like you in believing that winning is the only important thing, & lying is OK if winning results. If so, I see nothing special about America on the world stage anymore. It will have earned it hallowed place on the trash heap of history.

 

I see bias on both sides, & the bias against Trump was earned by him & his behaviors.

 

There have always been people in the press who fit your description, but not all of them do. There are honest reporters & editors as well. Saying the whole MSM is dishonest & disregarding it altogether is like throwing the baby out along with the bath water. That's nonsense.

And I'm curious. If you're discarding the mass media, what exactly do you propose to replace it with that you deem trustworthy?

 

Alternative media. There are examples: The Intercept, Disobedient Media, Full Measure, Independent Media Solidarity, Global Research, Common Dreams and many others.

The mainstream media has been poisoned at least since Operation Mockingbird. It as a class serves only one purpose: to deliver government and corporate propaganda in these fascist times of universal deception.

Why should I believe, or even bother to read the stories printed, by organizations known for their lies and deception?

FYI, I do read their headlines, and the random story or two if interesting. Mostly, mainstream media shows me how they want me to think, which delusions to embrace.

Trump has been exonerated. The only ones telling 10,000 lies is the media about collusion and obstruction.
