I was looking at maps of Russia's advances in Ukraine. The maps are on the New York Times website, so you can't view them unless you have a subscription.

However, it seems like Russia's troops are getting smart and are moving around the defense perimeters that are slowing their advance.

It seems like defense in the current era is to block off the routes into Ukrainian cities by launching attacks on the roads leading in. But with tanks and stuff, the Russians can clear a path around the defenses of Ukraine through trees and buildings.

Now, with alternate paths opening up, the Russians have several options including surrounding and cutting off Ukrainian defense forces or just going around and heading straight for the Ukrainian cities.

It only gets worse for Ukraine as time goes by. Despite western propaganda that says that Russia is losing big time, I have seen on The New York Times war map of Ukraine that the Russians are making gains. They may have to grind a bit, but they are making progress. And, they will win if they play the long game.

They will never “win”. They might break the government but Russia will be mired in insurgency.

Even once Putin has control of all that oil and natural gas he will have no one to sell it to.

It gets worse for the Russki with sanctions....there'll millions headed out of Russia looking for jobs they can't find in their own country.

Mafialand will never be able to "hold on" to Ukraine.....unless they willing to commit almost a million of their military to occupy.....a puppet leader won't last a week before he's assassinated and weapons keep flowing in....lots body bags for the Kremlin chimp who is basically a walking dead man.
