    I defend the people and their rights under the Constitution, and expect the government to remain restrained by the Constitution or be in violation of it, and thus a threat to the people.

    You defend the power of the State to defy the Constitution and to strip people of their rights.

    I defend the Constitutional rights of the people, and you defend the State's power to violate them; empowered by Courts that "interpret" the State's power to ignore the Constitution when they find it convenient to do so.
