The majority of the people of Massachusetts wanted it. An elected officials job is to follow the will of the people, Romney did that even though he didn't believe in it. Obama is a blue blood elitist slob who thinks he know better for us than we do. Even though the majority of people didn't want either of the Democrat plans.......

Obama and the Democrats forced it down our throats anyway. That's the difference between an elected representative of the people and a wanna be dictator like Obama. 9 months after that Zogby poll and the Democrats stuck Obama Care up our backsides, the people stuck it right back up theirs with a loss of 63 seats in the House and 6 in the Senate. This November will be part Deux.

Former Sphincter of the House gloating over screwing the people with something they clearly did not want. The voters wiped that smirk right off her face.

Wait. So they have different opinions? I thought the left always said that the people on the right don't have a big tent and don't allow for different opinions. Thanks for clearing up that falsehood.

They were the elected officials, they had the votes, people in the country voted them into office to make policy so they pushed the ACA through they had the will of the people to do it if they didn't want a Democratic majority they would have voted in more Republicans. Votes matter people when you vote you must live with the consequences.

I don't expect Romney & Ryan to agree on every single issue... they don't, and haven't claimed to. HC will undoubtedly fall by the way-side, with the economy and jobs becoming the primary focus headed toward election day. The GOP has effectively surrendered any strong criticism of Obamacare with the Romney choice... and it's apparently something they're willing to give up. This news really isn't meaningful news.

No sir, they did not have the will of the people with them. Look back to my Zogby post, 57% didn't want either Democrat solution to health care reform. They got it like it or not and they reacted by voting out 63 Democrats in the House and 6 in the Senate. The folks that voted them into office on one set of promises, booted them right back out when they were double crossed. It's going to happen again in November.

Americans did not elect the Democrats so they could ram corporate healthcare down our throats.

A representative's job isn't to do whatever the people want. If that were the case we'd just have every law and policy directly created through elections. No. The representative's job is to do what he/she believes is best for the people. They're elected for their judgement. Not for their ability to cave to the polls.

Yes. And even though the OP doesn't agree, Romney and Ryan is better than Romney by himself was.

    Your joking right?

57% did NOT want either health care bills proposed by the Democrats, exactly what justification is there for passing it? While there is no way to please everyone, representatives should at least do what the majority of people want on an issue like this. What your proposing is dictatorship.

No. I'm not kidding you. And I fail to see how the definition of representative conflicts with what I said. And polls are not elections nor should they ever be treated as such. If you're letting polls tell you what to do then you're a coward who doesn't stick to your principles.
