Earnings and education are correlated, but the underlying link is IQ. I suggest you read The Bell Curve to understand this better. Studies have shown that a) people who have similar IQ's correlate more closely on income than people with similar education levels, and b) people who could have gone to college or to an Ivy League university but didn't earn almost as much as those that did. Meaning it isn't the education that determines income, it's intelligence. High IQ people tend to get advanced degrees AND to earn a lot of money, but it isn't the degree that is controlling, it's the IQ.

Meantime the chip program has been extended by years.
And that ******* Trump to tweet, “the Democrats caved” is so damn divisive. How wonderful it would have been if the normal president and said how the Democrats and Republicans work together but he is too stupid to do something like that and his supporters think that’s a good thing. But he knows his base

He knows the electorate, and midterms are coming. If the naive still believe tainted fake polls on the DACA issue, I can't help but continue to laugh. Sorry for your luck!

It seems that one of the unfortunate symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome is thinking that saying "nope" is actually an argument! Given that you've now used it twice, I'm fully expecting yet another, well thought out, highly intellectual response from you. Although I would urge you to strive for a little more.

Our whole nation was built by immigrants while being based on the principle (and constitutional amendment) that humans are equal. America IS the evidence that diversity works.

I thought the China repatriation thing was clear - they're going after those of Chinese (or maybe even just Asian) descent living outside of China who are working in fields they want to reinforce.

I was merely showing you what an answer is.
As opposed to the dodging with questions instead of an answer. Both my response and yours were equally thought out.

So you have no actual evidence that IQ and earnings correlate. Studies show is not evidence.

Uh, the evidence is the study which they mentioned, just as you mentioned a study which shows the opposite. Are you suggesting that the study you mention is evidence?

Answer to what? My questions? But "nope" doesn't make sense as a response to all of them.

What am I supposed to have given an answer to?

I'm glad you think that my response was as thought out as you think yours was! I still think yours was pretty terribly thought out.

No, it didn't. But did for more than 1/2 of them.

Nope, terribly thought out? I am heartbroken.

    No.

They are looking at the CVs of people in positions requiring smarts, they are looking linkedin, etc.

Then, they are making highly attractive employment offers.

Well, according to Republicans I guess it shows a serious problem.

I'd rather we continue gathering smart motivated people. We need all we can get.

Okay, so selecting people purely based on the country that they are from, is the same as selecting people purely based on the skills that they have? Just have a think about that for a minute or two.

Doesn't it also show that China can get by and thrive perfectly okay with half of the immigrants of the US?

That's why it makes no sense that you agree with the Diversity Visa Program.

We select some for their skills and we take in those from countries that are warring or similar.
It just happens most warring or troubled countries are non white at this time.
A 100+ years ago, we accepted mostly white as they were the one's escaping their country because it didn't offer enough.

You've just demonstrated your lack of understanding of how immigration works currently in the US and that's okay, its quite complex. You've demonstrated that you know that immigration can be based on skill and also for humanitarian reasons. However, I don't think you actually know what the Diversity Visa Program is. Do you?
